A Christmas Plea
Monday, December 22, 2008 at 08:37AM Via NZ's top Artillerist, Murray Hill, a heartrending plea on Facebook. If any readers have the time, please consider sending a card and make this little girl very happy for her last Christmas. My awesome 12-year-old is upstairs beavering away on one of her homemade specials even as I type.
Thank you and Merry Christmas one and all.

"This group was created for a little girl named Hannah. I used to work with her mother at Giant when I was in high school. Her mother fought for her life for years to cancer. She passed away 2 years ago. When she was undergoing chemotherapy and radiation she found out she was pregnant. The doctors tried to talk her into terminating the pregnancy because they weren't sure what the risks were. She didn't want to take that route. Hannah is now 4 years old. In October Hannah was diagnosed with a rare aggressive brain tumor called glioblastoma multiforme. She was given 12 weeks to live, and she is now on week 7. She doesn't want toys for Christmas because she cannot play with them anymore. All she wants for Christmas is Christmas cards. So this is me asking all of you to do something so small for someone that would mean the absolute world to them. To send a card the address is:

Thank you all for taking a few minutes out of your busy schedules to do something to help change a little girls life! If you want anymore information about her story, leave the family messages, or sign up for a journal notification to learn about updates about Hannah you can go to:

I'm sold. Nice idea.
Both of the girls' classes at school have made cards for this little angel. Thank you DSD for putting this up and thank your daughter for us, too. She lives very close to us.
