THE PRICE OF REWARDING TERRORISM

You do not defeat terrorism by rewarding terrorists, regardless of how many bleeding heart liberals argue otherwise. Want to know where that flawed approach leads to? Read UNIONISM DECAYED 1997-2007 - It's my first book and it explains what happens when you seeek to appease terrorists and call it peace. It's available right now for ATW readers so make sure you get your copy by emailing the editor! This is the book that dissents from the herd mentality that doing wrong can lead to being right. It doesn't and this book spells out WHY.

A picture of the new Britain

Looking at al-Beeb's website this evening, I chanced upon the news that two Bollywood stars are claiming that they had racist remarks shouted at them from a passing car, as they shot a film in Southall. This, clearly very important and newsworthy, story is currently receiving second billing on the "England" section of the BBC News website, and has had quite a lengthy, illustrated, article devoted to it. Of course, the Beeboids did not see fit to publish a single paragraph on a rather more serious recent case in which a man had his skull sliced open with a machete in a racist attack, but that's understandable: the victim was only white, after all.

But, what struck me rather more than this anti-white racism (which, let's face it, is no more than you expect from al-Beeb), was this sentence, regarding the absolutely charming part of London in which the alleged shouting of racist abuse took place:

The town's Pakistani and Indian communities for the most part live happily alongside Somalis and the newest immigrants from eastern Europe.
Now, leaving aside the fact that this is a statement of somewhat questionable veracity, I was just thinking that, alongside the Pakistanis, Indians, Somalis, and east Europeans, there does seem to be one community missing from the multicultural love-in. Now, if only I could remember who they were...

Population replacement, anyone?

Well, to be a little snarky FR, black folks weren't mentioned either. You ought to feel good about this story, it means that white and black Brits aren't the ones driving down the street yelling racist obscenities at people. Ya'll have had your racist vocal cords cut. If you can get this point home to the authorities and the Beeb, maybe they can focus on the un-PC behaviour of the 'ethnic' neighborhoods and get a nice tax payer funded program going to curb this unseemly racism.

"Well, to be a little snarky FR, black folks weren't mentioned either."

Somalis? I'd agree that Carribean blacks were also left out, but then, they aren't the native population, so it's not quite so significant when a list of various groups inhabiting an area is produced, and they are nowhere on there.

"You ought to feel good about this story, it means that white and black Brits aren't the ones driving down the street yelling racist obscenities at people."

Actually, the perpetrators in the shouting case were white, apparently. Had this not been the case, then I doubt it would have been reported.

Of course, most racist crime in this country is not committed by white people, but the chances of getting that home to the BBC is virtually zero (the Kriss Donald murder was as close as they came, I think) - they have their paradigm of racism as something evil white people do to poor unfortunate blacks, Asians, etc, and they're sticking to it, regardless of such inconveniences as actual evidence. Thus, they hammer a story about a few white cowards shouting abuse from a car window, but ignore a story of Pakistani thugs hacking a man's head open with a machete - the first case fits the paradigm, the second doesn't.

Apologies for my flippancy and inaccurate assumptions FR.

I've got to say though that I have a hard time taking these types of stories as serious and newsworthy. Every one on the planet has taken some sort of flagrant public abuse from strangers at some point in their lives - what is the big deal? Sticks & stones sort of thing. Grow some skin and stop being so damn sensitive over idiot remarks hurled by jerks. It's meaningless in the bigger scheme of life.

That your media has a political agenda is just a fact - ours does too. They want news that 'sells" their point of view.

Racism is an unfortunate and malignant sore throughout the world. In tems of Britain, as the three nations move inexorably toward independence and occupied Ireland is on the verge ofreunification, the scourge of racism may well become more commonplace. Already British fascist groups like BNP are formng tes with the ancestors of Orange supremacist descendants in Ireland. All catholics, jews, females, Irish, eastern europeans, people of colour and the dsabled are deemed enemies of the nazis. Qe must wake up.

Bran, you're obviously somewhat educated, or in possession of a thesaurus, stop writing like a complete nimrod. Get a grip.

FR -

Well there's no doubt that Southall, like all areas in London, have seen white flight happening by the white working class.

But the BBC, long dominated by the same Stalinist tendency which took control of its close friend the Labour Party, has no interest in the white working class anyway.

The white working class may have voted Labour in the past, but seen at heart as racist and patriotic (you can vote Labour but be conservative) and is therefore beyond the pale in the eyes of the urban liberal filth in control of the cultural heights.

I can't believe there are any white people left in London, apart from the Polacs washing dishes in the liberals' fav funky restaurants.

I think the important thing is that justice is served here and the perpetrators are put away for a long time.

The news story has barely been reported anywhere. We could get angry at the media. Certainly. But, I think the sad fact is it's reflective of the society we live in. News of a young black teenager being stabbed by white racists will sell very well as a news story.

If the media don't feel the need to report it, then we should all remember this incident and those like it to help redress the rather presently skewed balance.

Brian, with respect, I think it's you who needs to wake up.

This story was reported because they were Bollywood stars. It gave that edge of 'celebrity' to a mundane event which always triumphs the activities of ordinary people.

Colm:

Possibly, although I can't think that many people in this country had ever heard of either of them, and I wasn't aware that the doings of Bollywood stars were generally considered to be of quite such importance to people in Britain, as to merit the level of attention the BBC gave to this case.

But in any event, that still does not explain why neither the BBC, nor any other major news organisation, saw fit to make any mention whatsoever of a man whose skull was literally sliced open, in what must rank as one of the most horrific non-fatal racist attacks of recent years. I can only conclude that the case was deemed irrelevant, or possibly even deemed worthy of being suppressed, because it did not fit the "evil white people" paradigm. After all, far less serious racist crime against non-whites is routinely reported.
