THE PRICE OF REWARDING TERRORISM

You do not defeat terrorism by rewarding terrorists, regardless of how many bleeding heart liberals argue otherwise. Want to know where that flawed approach leads to? Read UNIONISM DECAYED 1997-2007 - It's my first book and it explains what happens when you seeek to appease terrorists and call it peace. It's available right now for ATW readers so make sure you get your copy by emailing the editor! This is the book that dissents from the herd mentality that doing wrong can lead to being right. It doesn't and this book spells out WHY.

AC DC

Is the capital of the US, Washington DC transforming itself into a latter day Sodom? Star Parker asks the questions...

The poverty rate of Washington, D.C., almost 20 percent, is one of the highest in the nation. Its child poverty rate is the nation's highest.

D.C.'s public school system, with a graduation rate of less than 50 percent, is one of the worst in the country.

According to D.C.'s HIV/AIDS office, 3 percent of the local population has HIV or AIDS. The administrator of this office notes that this HIV/AIDS incidence is "… higher than West Africa … on par with Uganda and some parts of Kenya." And the principal way that HIV is transmitted continues to be through male homosexual activity.

Amidst this dismal picture, the D.C. City Council, perhaps on the theory that serving up another glass of wine is the way to help a drunk, is scheduled to vote on Dec. 1 to legalize same-sex marriage in America's capital city.

Funny you should mention West Africa in connection with the population of DC.

Washington DC has a large ghettoised black population with a high proportion of drug addicts and that probably accounts for a more significant number of it's HIV/Aids population than homosexuals. Plus, whatever opinions may be held on 'gay marraige' I cannot see how such legislation can be viewed as fuel for further spread of HIV infection. Surely giving official recognition and legal securities to gay couples in relationships will if it has any effect on the spread of disease will more likely reduce the culture of promiscuity than increase it.

The same-sex marriage issue is a red herring and has little or nothing to do with the African rates of HIV infection in Washington DC. The fact is that there is a substantial population of African-Americans in the region of Washington DC and it is not possible to take Africa out of Africans no matter how many hyphens are used to describe them.

"And the principal way that HIV is transmitted continues to be through male homosexual activity."

Either this is true or it isn't - if it is, it's superb that the point can be made without anyone shouting about discrimination.

The DC City Council is doing it Massachusetts / West Europe style - they are not allowing the citizens a popular vote on such a major change

Where to begin? The absurd link of HIV to same sex marriage? Or the author Star Parker's call to return to George Washington's America (ignoring the fact that she herself as a black woman would be a nonvoting slave at that time).

The District's failures are across the issue board, do to extreme poverty and failed leadership, including failed black leadership.

Colm -the principle means of transmitting HIV in the District is homosexual contact, needles are next. But you are right about the legislation. But as priorities go there are a host of other issues they should be concentrating on. Perhaps even arguing for their right to Statehood, which I presume democracy lovers would all favor.

The best solution for " DC Political rights " is to return it to Maryland and/or Virginia out of which it was initially carved as a federal district

The Dhimmmicats only want it to be a state because it will be always elect two zombie Democrat senators. Statehood for the federal district would be an antidemocratic putsch.
