THE PRICE OF REWARDING TERRORISM

You do not defeat terrorism by rewarding terrorists, regardless of how many bleeding heart liberals argue otherwise. Want to know where that flawed approach leads to? Read UNIONISM DECAYED 1997-2007 - It's my first book and it explains what happens when you seeek to appease terrorists and call it peace. It's available right now for ATW readers so make sure you get your copy by emailing the editor! This is the book that dissents from the herd mentality that doing wrong can lead to being right. It doesn't and this book spells out WHY.

AMSTERDAM BURNS...

Interesting to note this report that Amsterdam has suffered a sixth night of unrest after police officers shot a "Moroccan man" dead. The 22-year old was killed after entering a police station where he stabbed two police officers. Eleven cars have been set on fire this week in the Slotervaart district of Amsterdam, which is mainly populated by "immigrants" i.e Muslims.

It goes without saying that this deranged "Moroccan" was himself an immigrant, and of course a Muslim. It appears that Amsterdam's large Muslim community are providing the authorities with a reminder of the muscle they can exercise. It's also interesting to note the way in which the media refuses to use the Muslim word when describing the "young people" behind the violence. More cowardly journalism.

Those "young people": would they have any similarities to 'les jeunes' who torch cars, rape and rob in French cities?

>> which is mainly populated by "immigrants" i.e Muslims.<<

Have you any evidence of that, or were you just chancing your arm? I'd be very suprised if the majority of immigrants in the Netherlands were Muslims.

Slotervaart in fact has a very prominent major, a former policeman, who is known as a real hardliner, especially in tackling Islamists and youth gangs in general. He says only zero-tolerance should be shown to intolerant Muslims and all rowdys.
You'd all love him!

Pity 'tho that he's a Muslim.

Noel,

I don't "chance my arm"

The Netherlands has one of the largest populations of Muslims in Western Europe: about 1 million, roughly 6 percent of the population, second only to France. The largest groups are people with origins in Morocco or Turkey. The country has long taken pride in its religious, political and social tolerance, as well as its acceptance of minorities. But the threats of terrorism and sheer demographics have started to confront Dutch open-mindedness.

Studies estimate that Muslims will form majorities in the Netherlands' four biggest cities by 2020.

Gee - wonder what sort of tolerance we'll see then - Sharia in action?

"The Slotervaart district of Amsterdam, which is mainly populated by "immigrants" i.e Muslims"

Not true!

"Almost half of Slotervaart's 45,000 residents are foreign immigrants", [although the biggest immigrant population tend to be Morrocans].

Noel is correct David. I think that aspects of Ahmed Marcouch's approach would be appealing to you and he certainly dosen't fit your stereotypical caricarture of

"Amsterdam's large Muslim community providing the authorities with a reminder of the muscle they can exercise".

Noel,

"The country has long taken pride in its religious, political and social tolerance,"

It doesn't take a genius to realise that the socialist idea of all those 'tolerances', really equate to no more than national gullibility.

We take millenia to create societies to our liking and culture, only to have them destroyed comparatively, 'overnight', just to show what 'nice, civilised folk' we all are.

The tolerance should have been cut short long ago when it was realised that it was being grossly abused. It isn't as though Europe was exactly bereft of it's own brand of deadbeats, hooligans, and general ne're do wells.

Paul,

The assertion re the composition of Slotervaart is not mine, it is from the BBC. Are you suggesting the BBC is lying? How many of these "Moroccans" are Muslims? Say about..what..99.9%?

I take your point re Marcouch - he seems to be trying but my question is this; what on EARTH are Muslims from the villages in the High Atlas and Rif Mountains doing in downtown Amsterdam in the first place?

Crazy world, Paul.

They dont seem to have torn up Brussels for this year's Ramadan - I suppose they had to have *somewhere* to torch in celebration for 2007. Maybe they just fancied a change?

No I'm not accusing the BBC of lying I just wanted to disspell your fabricated myth that the area is overrun
by Muslims.

As to your point re Atlas mountain inhabitants in downtown Amsterdam, economic immigration?

Strange that I thought you would have admired this attitude as much as you admire the work ethic and entrepreneurship

Yeah, Paul. Weneed more of these Moroccans with their work ethic and entrepreneurialism. Just like they show in that booming economy of Morocco??

The comments so far have been very high minded , sorry to spoil it , but with so many inviting targets the Dutch police should use the opportunity for some more shooting practice .
