UNIONISM DECAYED 1997-2007 - It's my first book and it is an all out indictment of those who appease terrorists and call it peace. It's available right now for ATW readers so make sure you get your copy by emailing the editor! This is the book that dissents from the herd mentality that doing wrong can lead to right. It doesn't and this book spells out WHY.
THE RULES OF ENGAGEMENT
We'd really like to have you comment on our site! We want good conversation, no abuse and no trolls.I reserve the right to ban anybody who wilfully and persistently breaks these rules. So go ahead and speak your mind!
Sir Walter Scott was onto something when he wrote.."Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practise to deceive" all those centuries ago. The purpose of this site is to expose some of the deceits that constitute contemporary political debate, to provide a principled conservative voice of dissent and to make life.... that little less tangled!
I was surprised to read that Monty Python's movie "The Life of Brian" is still BANNED in the Welsh town of Aberystwyth some 30 years after it was first released. I always have enjoyed this movie and although I am of a Christian persuasion, I saw NO harm in it and thought it made a lot of excellent points about NOT following false prophets, for example. Plus some great gags. Now comes the news that the actress who played Brian's girlfriend in the movie, Sue Jones-Davies, has been made Mayor of the town and is trying to overturn a near 30-year ban! What an irony! I wish her well and hope that Aberystwyth moves into the modern era..
I do wonder if these protesters that ban films are actually far more of a hindrance to the faith than a help. It is ridiculous. Unfortunately, when it comes to most Monty Python films, the people who are protesting don't have the intelligence to get most of the jokes in the film.
I think the funniest film protest I ever heard about was at the release of Dogma a couple of years ago. Because, unknown to the other protesters, the lead protester was actually Kevin Smith, the writer, directer and co-star of the film.
I was at Aberystwyth university for part of my chequered academic career. A great town, and good luck to the mayor in her quest to get a great film unbanned.

Nah, the funniest was that one on Father Ted..."Down with that kind of thing"!!!
It was quite a funny film, I don't think banning film (or books) makes sense.
I spent some time in Aberystwyth and thought it was a very progressive university city. I had no idea that "The Life of Brian" was banned there.
I wonder what the status is of one of my favourate all time movies: A Clockwork Orange?
That's probably ok there since it features sex and violence, but abstains from the wicked comic theme.
