THE PRICE OF REWARDING TERRORISM

You do not defeat terrorism by rewarding terrorists, regardless of how many bleeding heart liberals argue otherwise. Want to know where that flawed approach leads to? Read UNIONISM DECAYED 1997-2007 - It's my first book and it explains what happens when you seeek to appease terrorists and call it peace. It's available right now for ATW readers so make sure you get your copy by emailing the editor! This is the book that dissents from the herd mentality that doing wrong can lead to being right. It doesn't and this book spells out WHY.

DON'T SPEAK...

eu%20flag.bmpThe issue could not be more clear. The Labour Government seeks to mute the voice of the British people on the so-called European Treaty.  This is evidenced in the news that a Parliamentary committee has said that the EU treaty is "substantially equivalent" to the EU Constitution thrown out by Dutch and French voters in 2005. The European scrutiny committee said it should be "made clear" the UK can keep opt-outs of parts of the document. The Conservatives have said the government was now "morally bound" to hold a referendum on the treaty, as had been promised on the Constitution. But ministers say the two documents are "substantially" different.

The Government will continue to INSIST that the documents are "substantially different" even in denial of the evidence of the Scrutiny Committee. Why? Because if it were to accept the conclusion reached by this all-party committee it would then have to let the British people speak via a referendum and it knows we would reject what is on offer. The Euro-project would take a hit. This is a Government which seeks to shut us up. This is a Government intent on betraying its own people. This is a Treaty too far.

Agreed. This is an utterly shameless denial of a clear election pledge made in 2005.

I still cannot understand why, after waiting so long to become our Prime Minister, Gordon Brown should be in such a rush to give more of our sovereignty away and to do so without asking our approval as promised. Why should he wish to reduce the high status of the Office he holds to that of subordination to the unelected post of EU Commisioner?

As some pundit pointed out at the weekend, The post of prime minister of the UK is but a stepping stone to greater things.

He quoted the cases of Blair and Major as both moving onwards and upwards, and solely by reason of using their time as PM to cultivate, (the in word for 'suck up), to their intellectual superiors on the international scene.

Of course this means either the US,the UN,the EU, or one of those mysterious 'private trusts', that seem to have such sway in international affairs.

Even being a loser such as Kinnock can have it's financial advantages. That our elected 'great ones' can have their own private agenda, from day-one, could explain the reason for many of our current problems.

And they call this 'Democracy'...or in other words: 'All for one, and all for me!'

Peter T,

How do you reckon the post of EU Commissioner is "unelected" ??

The European Parliament (full of MEPs for whom you voted ... or at least could have voted for) selects a President of the Commission. He then reports back to Parliament proposing a team (the other Commissioners). The Parliament accepts or refuses these candidates.

How the hell can that be seen as undemocratic ???

Well, Tony Blair and the Queen abolished the death penalty for treason in 1998. They did this via the Crime and Disorder Act 1998. It's an Act intended to regulate how young criminals are dealt with by the judiciary, which just happened also to outlaw the death penalty for treason and piracy. Strangely, the high Court was hearing a case for treason against Blair and the Queen at the time. When the Bill received Royal Assent, out went the case.

But not to worry, the Treason Act 1351 and the Treason Felony Act 1848 (which is specifically designed to safeguard the Constitution) are still in force.

Also, Parliament is inferior to the Common Law, which is a statement of our traditions and customs. Amongst those traditions and customs is the act of executing those guilty of treason. However they squirm and slither, they may well be meeting Jack Ketch yet.

Peter T -

As Ernest Young says, politicians act in their own interests. But also, Gordon Brown is a Fabian. Far from his loyalty being to the Crown, he is an enemy of the British people. His loyalty is to the international socialist movement. When the Soviet Union aimed its SS20s our way, they shrilled for Moscow. Today, the EU is the vehicle by which they're bringing about the end of the nation state.
