There's a relief, I'm a social liberal, economic conservative and libertarian on the north-east libertarian/capitalist cusp. I know, the world would be so much better if everyone was like me. Strange to say, not everyone is.

Seriously, politics is a complex business. When you think each of these things through, you can't possibly come down on the left / right / liberal / conservative side on all issues.
Besides there is no Republican Party any more in any real sense.. I'm thinking about becoming formally independent., not affiliated with any party.
Phantom, at half time in the Confederations Cup final, the USA is leading Brzil by an incredible 2:0, and still fighting for every ball. Real tough guys, the way football used to be and should be.
Just taken the test and I'm a Social Conservative ( 31% permissive ) and an Economic Conservative ( 61% permissive ) which best describes me as a Republican. I'm stuck on John McCain's left cheek. Don't know whether I'm chuffed about that or not ?
Who is that in the Fascist corner ? Is it Mike Huckabee ? If so I think that's rather unfair. I certainly have never seen him as that type of person.
Have to agree with Phantom though. Politics IS a complex business and while I would call myself a Conservative on most issues, it is hard to take this single line on just everything.

Beating Brazil would be an astonishing accomplishment.
Sadly, it was not to be. They can be proud of their achievement of these past few weeks, though. Keeper Tim Howard should be next POTUS in 2016.
Ahead of the Brazilian football gods by two at the half and then lost. Ouch.
But at least they've shown that they can play with the big boys. I may have to start paying attention to this sport again.
