FOOTSTEPS ON THE CEILING!
I laughed at the news that IRA/Sinn Fein was last night at a loss to explain how a party member ended up in hospital after falling from the roof of a Newcastle Orange hall in the middle of the night! The PSNI confirmed last night that they had responded to reports of "suspicious activity" at the hall on Shimna Road shortly before 2.45am on Saturday.
"It is believed that a male had fallen from the building," said a police spokeswoman. "A 17-year-old youth was taken to hospital by ambulance." The Orange Order said a Union Flag was torn down from the roof and it is understood police will interview the injured party at a later stage. IRA/Sinn Fein confirmed the injured person was a member of its youth wing. "He is a member of Ogra Sinn Fein, but to my knowledge he has not been charged with anything," said a spokesman."It is alleged that youths did take down a flag but I am not sure whether it is true or not. It is not the type of thing we would be condoning, we oppose attacks on Orange halls."
So, a Sinn Fein youth member is climbing around on top of the roof of an Orange Hall at 2.45am but naturally his intent was peaceful. Maybe he was just conducting a health and safety check that went wrong? Or maybe this is the true face of Irish republicanism, pious words, poisonous acts?
Meanwhile, Seagoe Orange Hall went up in flames as someone decide to spread a little more republican happiness abroad

Apparently since he landed on his head he will be fine.
What do they think they are achieving by burning Orange Order Halls...this kind of behaviour should be condemned outright
Once a member of the Conservative and Unionist Party was arrested, charged and convicted of some crime or another.
All conservatives therefore are criminals by association. Especially those around the age of 17.
Is that the best you can do?
Hmmmm...
"Once a member of the Conservative and Unionist Party was arrested, charged and convicted of some crime or another."
And was promptly thrown out of his party. Do you think SF will be likewise expelling Spideman here Daithio?
More to the point, do you agree that they should?
BTW the young Og blog is a wonder to behold, if this the calibre of Sinner Youth then the Union's safe for a wee while yet.
Sinn Fein condemned at about 6.00 pm on the 30th August 2007, an arson attack on Seagoe Orange Hall (in which sophisticated arson methods of wind tunnel creation and multiple start fires was employed to ensure total destruction).
5 days earlier, a member of this organisation, that has considered the expression of orangism offensive and has engendered hostility towards it for over a century, was found in an odd position on an orange hall 9 months into of one of the worst years for such sabotage on record.
The shear scale of the attacks this year makes the idea that they are opportunistic, random or uncoordinated incidents an absolute nonsense, this is an orchestrated sectarian campaign just like the one at North street and the Crumlin road.
Given Sinn Fein's history of espionage, which they claim to be sophisticated, it is perfectly obvious that the Sinn Fein are for the sake of good appearances condemning attacks in which (at least one of) their membership is actively engaged in, and in which their know how resources are being employed (such as) with the tactics employed at Seagoe ?
The double current of inclusive rhetoric and deplorable persecution on the part of Sinn Fein is a historic fact. These events fit the pattern just a little too neatly for comfort.
I would urge all Loyalists to show the same restraint they have shown on so many occasions and to remember the temperance and forbearance of so many Orange Widows and remember their call of "No Retaliation"
We will not sink to the level of those who would be our masters.
I guarantee the N.Ireland ecumenical media will drop this story very quickly . After all being part of a systematic campaign of attacks on Protestants and their property is not nearly as serious as a translink employee giving out dubious advice.

Hear hear.
Targeting Prods whats changed! Between 1919 and 1923 "War of Independence"of the 113 homes burned to the ground by the IRA in County Cork 85% belonged to the Protestant Unionist community. This in a county then 90% RC. The attacks on Catholic homes amounting to 15% belonged overwhelmingly to ex servicemen.
I condemn that eejit in Newcastle. Sounds like he was drunk.
"Between 1919 and 1923 "War of Independence"of the 113 homes burned to the ground by the IRA in County Cork 85% belonged to the Protestant Unionist community."
Er, the War of Independence ended in 1921. Many of the homes burnt by the original IRA were "big houses" as opposed to the homes of your common garden Prods. It was more a social statement than a sectarian one (although that's not to say that element didn't exist).
"More a social statement than a sectarian one" pure fantasy. Yes the War of independence ended in 1921, but the war on Protestants did not, Ishould have included the civil war 1921 to 1923. In County Cork in the spring of 1922 churches were marked for destruction in order to intimidate their congregations.
Can you tell me which "big houses" the following of numerous examples which could be given lived in?
Alfred Cotter-Bandon- Protestant shot dead for supplying bread to the Police.
Sweetnam and OConnoll Skibereen Unionists murdered for giving evidence against the IRA.
Beale, Protestant kidnapped and shot for talking to soldiers.
Alfred Reilly executed for being a leading Methodist in Cork.
"More a social statement than a sectarian one" pure fantasy."
No. A fact.
