THE PRICE OF REWARDING TERRORISM

You do not defeat terrorism by rewarding terrorists, regardless of how many bleeding heart liberals argue otherwise. Want to know where that flawed approach leads to? Read UNIONISM DECAYED 1997-2007 - It's my first book and it explains what happens when you seeek to appease terrorists and call it peace. It's available right now for ATW readers so make sure you get your copy by emailing the editor! This is the book that dissents from the herd mentality that doing wrong can lead to being right. It doesn't and this book spells out WHY.

GYPSIES, TRAMPS AND THIEVES...

Remarkable to read that homeowners are facing the prospect of being forced to sell their own land to make space for gypsy campsites under orders from the government.

"Desperate to build permanent sites for travellers and gypsies, the Government is launching what has been described as a 'land grab', which could see fields and even private gardens converted into pitches for mobile homes. One local authority is now warning its residents that their land could be brought under compulsory purchase if they refuse to sell up to make way for hundred of travellers setting up home in their town."

This shows the perverse values that so distinguish this lousy socialist government. They prefer to punish homeowners and reward gypsies by thieving land from those who pay taxes and abide by the law.

I just saw a huge calvacade of gypsies looking for a halting site, they asked me the way to DV's house in Donaghcloney :) so I pointed them in the right direction. They'll be there shortly, put the kettle on... :)

Sean

As opposed to communism where they steal everyone's land

Yeah, capitalism is grand. It's the only form of ownership based on human liberty.

The State, on the other hand, isn't grand. It does things like steal your property. If you resist, it'll incarcerate you.

David - I've been waiting for your headline paraphrasing the Momas and Popas opening line from California Dreaming:

All The Thieves Are Brown....

That was very funny, Mahons!!

I was hoping Pete Moore would chime in with the first verse of this classic from Ewan McColl!

Surely it is a contradiction in terms, 'travellers' wishing to have a settled encampment...don't 'travellers' trave?

Monday, November 17, 2008 at 04:42PM | Unregistered CommenterTrueBlue

Sorry for typo: 'travel' not 'trave'

Monday, November 17, 2008 at 04:43PM | Unregistered CommenterTrueBlue

What the 'Mail Online' fails to point out is that it was the Labour govt in 2002 that pushed through a commons debate on the 'Planning & Compulsory Purchase Act'. It then received the Royal Assent 18 months later in 2004.
This came in on the back of Gypsies - & 'Travellers' (who they?) receiving tacit acknowledgment that they were a distinct ethnic and racial group, with rights.
Essex councils, long-term socialist strongholds, are merely fulfilling their masters' dreams of further multicultural enrichment.

Little wonder the BNP are gaining credibility in the South East.

What does an Essex girl say when you blow in her ear?

"Thanks for the refill".

I've never had much time for Essex folk....

Very angry about that (the main post), but utterly unsurprised.

Hey Bernard, do you actually know where Essex is? 1) Essex is definitely not a socialist stronghold, that's why it gets shat on my government. 2) The BNP is gaining more of a foothold up North.

Seems you're in need of a refill, mate.

Neal.

You're very angry about the fact that householders can have their property taken from them so that gypsies can be provided with accommodations? Me too.

Mine was a Gordon Brown joke.

Monday, November 17, 2008 at 08:37PM | Unregistered Commentermahons

Sorry, Mr Vance, I was unclear -- yes, that's precisely what I did mean. Not that the government is needed, the pikies usually buy land then without planning permission attach up all the services before the council officers get their thumbs out of their arses.

Neal,

Thanks for clarifying! It's an outrage that government treats rate-payers with such contempt.

Monday, November 17, 2008 at 09:05PM | Registered CommenterDavid Vance

I think it's a very good idea. If people refuse to be voluntarily accomodating to travellers the govt. should use it's powers to assist them in getting the sites and land they are entitled to.

Colm

Why are they entitled to land that they don't own in this town / certain towns? England's a big place. There are no other places to go other than on land that other people own and wish to keep?

Monday, November 17, 2008 at 09:10PM | Registered CommenterThe Phantom

Neal

Do you seriously think that the calendar girl, call me Dave, is a Conservative? He's a pink coloured socialist and almost indistinguishable from that other lot.

Travellers are ok by me.

I then recommend that the Traveling Wilburies set up their caravans in front of the houses of Colm and the Drunken Cyclist. Lets compel the sale of the gardens/backyards to the lads, and tell them to bring the whole gang and stay for a long, long time.

See how they like it then.
