Wow, has a year and more gone since I last spoke to you all? Indeed it has. So much has gone on in that time. Some of you will know that I now occupy a managerial role in my profession and have staff answerable to me (the poor swines!!). Before I being in earnest next week, I wanted to give you a bit of an insight into how things will be different this time around.
My passion is, was, and always will be the Union of the United Kingdom. However, my focus will be less on Northern Ireland. Why? Because nobody watching the events of the proud soldiers of the Royal Irish Regiment parading through Belfast on the 2nd November, whilst the huddled masses of the Falls Road Appreciation Society for Pissants congregated dolefully close to the same hotel so many of them tried to raze over thirty years, can be under any illusion about how military and sovereign legitimacy is embodied in the Province. Unionism as a political creed may be in some disarray; the inclusion of the Provos in government is still gut-wrenching. That said, there are many differences between the creed of Unionism and the reality of the Union. Countries on the verge of abandoning part of their territory don't spend millions of pounds building the second largest and second most important facility for State Intelligence in that same territory. Let's take away the rhetoric of party propaganda and look at the bigger picture. No, if anything, the greatest threat to the Union comes from Scottish nationalism: a fact which the Pyrrhic by-election win in Glenrothes did nothing to stymie. Thus, I will be concentrating on the SNP in many of the debates on the future of the UK.
I also will return to the issue of mass immigration. Since I last posted on ATW, the population of the UK has swollen by another quarter of a million people - all little bricks in Labour's vast Lego set of demographic manipulation and indigenous erosion. The frequency of Muslim women in facial veils (Niqabs) is set to become a common target of my ire. It always amazes me how veiled Muslims often have the most children accompanying them when you see them in the street. If only they were as keen to conceal abdominal orifices as they are facial ones!!
Then they are the feckless, the indolent, the pig-ignorant, and the self-indulgent underclass who seem to grow in number. They include those not averse to matching Islamic levels of fecundity in the full expectation that the Welfare State (and thus you and I) will continue to keep them and their junior artful dodgers in the manner to which they have become accustomed.
As David has said I won't be able to post with anything like the frequency of the past. I, unlike teachers, social workers, green campaigners, and Labour voters in general, actually have to work for a living. Nevertheless, sit back and enjoy the show.

It has nothing to do with Asian women having children. If they have the confidence and fecundity to do so, then you should bewailing the fact that all European women have lost both these assets and seem bent on editing themselves out of existence.
It's also successive and traitorous governments over the past 40 years that have blighted the nation.

I don't always agree with everything you say, or with the way you say it (naturally! Who could ever make such a claim, apart from a backbench politician referring to the party leadership?) but I've always enjoyed reading your opinions.
One point I'd like you to consider: Please don't direct your ire directly towards Niqab-cloaked Muslim women, as if they themselves were the root of the issue. Many, if not the vast majority of such women, are nothing more than poor, frightened creatures, enslaved and intimidated by the male-dominated backward "culture" of Islam. Many such women secretly yearn for freedom and liberation from their veils, as commenters such as Alison have repeatedly pointed out in the past. In my opinion, to verbally attack such women for their enforced self-shrouding would be missing the point, and would be attacking the symptom rather than the cause.
Anyway, having said that, Welcome back, Andrew.
Away for a year? You were posting last weekend? You mean as a contributor of threads? Well done! You do get a lot of personal stuff written about you, i sympathise ,and it sometimes seems youre the only Unionist on some threads. I particularly enjoyed youre postings re anti social chav elements, a good laugh more please!. You might have lost the War of the Roses, but keep batting for Yorkshire and the Union!
