THE PRICE OF REWARDING TERRORISM

You do not defeat terrorism by rewarding terrorists, regardless of how many bleeding heart liberals argue otherwise. Want to know where that flawed approach leads to? Read UNIONISM DECAYED 1997-2007 - It's my first book and it explains what happens when you seeek to appease terrorists and call it peace. It's available right now for ATW readers so make sure you get your copy by emailing the editor! This is the book that dissents from the herd mentality that doing wrong can lead to being right. It doesn't and this book spells out WHY.

HELL TO PAY...

So, Obama is bringing us more of that change you can believe in by appointing political new girl Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State. Perhaps you don't know about Hillary, her being a fresh face in the Obama constellation of new stars. So, as part of your homework, I suggest you invest in "Hell to Pay" - a most illuminating book by Barbara Olson.

Barbara isn't around anymore - she was unfortunately incinerated on Flight 77 when Islamic terrorists crashed it into the Pentagon on 9/11. But her insights on the Clintons remain. I know some of my right of liberal colleagues think Hillary might be a good "kick-ass" SOS, however this is wishful thinking. The track record of this dangerous liberal is there for all to see - and by offering her this role, Obama not only keeps his enemies close to him but he also ensures that America's many enemies will start to feel the audacity of hope that comes from having  a radical as Secretary Of State.

He has selected two fairly centrist individuals for Sec of State and Treasury, and is apparently thinking of keeping Gates as Sec. of Defense. Very pragmatic since there can be no grace period once he takes over due to the urgency of the problems he will inherit from Bush.

A Clinton as SoS bodes ill for peace in the Middle East. She is and will probably continue to be a lackey of the Pro-Israel lobby in Washington, she mentions the "security" (= land-grabbing) wall only to praise it, and will continue the policy of carte-blanche for Israel that has brought and will bring so much misery to the region and shame to Israel.

By the way, only a complete fool would pick a cover like that for a biography. At least no-one can accuse Olson of disguising her loathing for her subject.

Mahons only an extremist would would call Hillary a centrist

and please post a list of the problems he is inheriting from Bush I would love to see it and an explanation of why what ever you put on that list is Bush's fault

Hillary is a centrist in the same sense as Obama is a moderate.

oh and Mrs Olsen was on the plane that didn't really hit the Pentagon she was one of the people the CIA made disappear even though her husband was US Solicitor General Ted Olson

I am an extremists? Troll you are traveling from sad figure to pathetic figure. Clinton is certainly considered a mainstream centrist candidate. If you don't know the problems Bush is leaving that perhaps explains your misunderstanding of the election.

David -she would not be a centrist on ATW, but in the real world she is considered fairly mainstream. Obama on the other hand is a liberal, as his voting record and public positions attest. However, he has yet to appoint the ultraliberals to his cabinet and seems unlikely to do so.

Mahons: "she would not be a centrist on ATW, but in the real world she is considered fairly mainstream. "

Sorry to disagree, old chap, us under a detente and all...but Hillary is only considered a centrist in Manhattan. In the rest of the 56 States(Manhattan being the 57 , she is considered pretty left of mainstream (remember her socialized health care?)

Geez...New Yorkers are really so provincial.

>>.but Hillary is only considered a centrist in Manhattan. In the rest of the 56 States.., she is considered pretty left of mainstream<<

And in the rest of the world she is considered to the right.

Who cares about what "internationalists" think - they are all left!

Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 02:28PM | Registered CommenterDavid Vance

Sorry Mahons you don't get off that easy first of all bush wasn't in this last election something your politicians and the press managed to blind people of second if he was he would have run a better campaign than the traitor and probably would have won

No I want a list of these problems I know that what ever goes wrong in the next 4 yrs will be blamed on Bush by the new administration and the press but go through the record and tell me what are the problems he has caused.

It will be a very short list if any list at all

Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 02:33PM | Registered CommenterGrizzly Mama / Troll

Patty - Clinton is considered a mainstream politician across the entire land (all 50 states and on you native planet of Mars - said with a smile). She does however bring rather caustic opposition (the late Barbara Oslon for one).

Troll - distance yourself further from reality if you must, but Bush's failures destroyed any chance that any Republican would have won, and his polling numbers are so low as to be difficult to even measure. His domestic and foreign policy failures make Carter look like Washington.

Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 02:49PM | Unregistered Commentermahons

She does bring about some accurate opposition - the late Barbara Olsen for one! She's left for sure, I just wish she was left to wallow in all those fading glories of her charming husband.

Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 02:52PM | Registered CommenterDavid Vance

David - well you touch on an actual point, Bill Clinton's speech for hire vocation has resulted in a potential conflict of interest, or at least an embarrassing postion should he continue. I presume he won't be able to keep taking checks from various countries and/or organizations.

On the bright side for me, the Clintons will spend less time in Chappaqua (a few towns away from me) and return to Washington, D.C., the perfect stage for their opera.

Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 02:56PM | Unregistered Commentermahons

should read "important point".

Hillary is a centrist in the same sense as Obama is a moderate.

She may be a domestic liberal but she is a neo-liberal on the international stage. Obama has yet to prove whether he is a neo-liberal stooge or not. Judging by his imminent Treasury Sec pick Im leaning towards stooge.

Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 03:17PM | Unregistered Commenterdaytripper

I'm going to go out on a limb and support the Hillary pick. She did vote for the war, which will drive the far left crazy. She has been a good senator on the Armed Services committee, she knows the world and many world leaders. And she's as tough and coniving as the other leaders she'll be dealing with.

Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 03:54PM | Unregistered CommenterCharles in texas

Hillary is Hillary-ist. That is about as far has her principles go.

'She does bring about some accurate opposition - the late Barbara Olsen for one! She's left for sure, I just wish she was left to wallow in all those fading glories of her charming husband.'

Barbara Olsen, was CNN's answer to Ann Coulter, that is when CNN was suffering from its inferiority complex and thought it needed to appeal to the right whinge looney element.
Speaking of charming husbands, Mr Olsen was the charming husband to 3 wives was it?

Whoops, it could be 5, according to some accounts.
Ah s much for the sanctity of marriage, eh?

I'm afraid you may be right Noel, especially if her Presidential ambitions are still intact.

But, I think we would be foolish to believe that any US politician is ever going to approach the Middle East in an even-handed manner, considering strength of the Israeli lobby in the US.

Hillary, a centrist? Plausible. Hillary, left wing? Laughable.

Well Pinky, since jihadists snuffed out one of his wives at 400 miles an hour on 9/11, how appropos is your comment?

About as appropriate as the comments on Hilary's marriage

Don't let that Charles fool you Colm.
He is all geared up now for four more years of Hillary and Bill Hating. Taking Hillary OUT of the limelight, would kill half these right whinge loonies.

Troll,

Bush will soon be a distant memory- off to graze in his 18 million dollar house in Houston. or is it Austin?

Will you be dropping over for a beer with him?

One thing we do know, it is NOT Crawford- you can't REALLY live in a PROP.

LOL

Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 04:52PM | Unregistered Commenterpinky

'Damned if you do, or don't then, eh Pinks?'

Well of course.:-)

She wouldn't be my choice- I think it is a mistake- let the Clintons fade into the dustbin of history, along the Bush and Co., and move on.

I do understand the arguments for appointing her however.

Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 04:54PM | Unregistered Commenterpinky

Pinky

I believe Charles made that comment in good faith. Some here will attack Obama whatever he does just as many on the left reflexively attacked everything about the Bush administration. It is refreshing to see people prepared to be open minded to some of the decisions of their political opponents.

Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 04:58PM | Unregistered CommenterColm

Thanks again Colm. IMO, Hillary is the best of the litter. Better than Kerry. The Clintons are going to be players in any Dem Admin. The question is were best to put her/him. And I like Hillary more than Obama. At least i know her background. Also, she's got balls.

So do I !!!!

Charles, I wish they would just fade into memory, but its not to be.

Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 05:04PM | Unregistered Commenterpinky

Charles in Texas -

Hillary Rodham Antichrist certainly does have balls. Each time the President calls her in to the Oval Office for a chat, she'll be where her husband raped and assaulted women.

Let no-one say she isn't willing to suffer in the service of her country.

Colm -

In case anyone accuses me of not being open-minded about her, let me just add I think she's an authoritarian, thieving, commie and sociopath who shouldn't be allowed within a million miles of state power.

Charles, any objections to the above?

LOL I thought not.

Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 07:46PM | Unregistered Commenterpinky

Pinky, my thoughts are that the Dems are in charge and a Dem will be in charge of State. Hillary is the best they have for the job. Can you imagine Kerry going into a Russian negotiation? He'd get eaten alive. And Obama could have put in a left wing let's all hold hands across the world loonie. Hillary fits the bill.

Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 07:57PM | Unregistered CommenterCharles in texas

'Can you imagine Kerry going into a Russian negotiation? He'd get eaten alive.'

Agreed, I am not sure who else it could have been. I still wish the Clintons and Bushes would fade into obscurity.

(I will note your one sided moralising, and sympathising though, and consider it thus).

Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 08:01PM | Unregistered Commenterpinky

I haven't the slightest as to what that means.

Charles

I think Pinky was hoping you would condemn the remarks about Clinton raping women and his wife tolerating that.

Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 08:27PM | Unregistered CommenterColm

Oh, that part's true Colm. Can't deny facts!

Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 08:29PM | Unregistered CommenterCharles in texas

Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 08:32PM | Unregistered CommenterColm

That's fine with me.

Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 08:33PM | Unregistered Commenterpinky

Yeah, yours too. You and the rest of the progressive Left who turned a blind eye to Bill Clinton's repeated attacks on women.

Jeez, you don't even have to be a feminist to recognise he shouldn't be left alone with a woman.

You don't have to be a lawyer to recognise that if he really "raped and assaulted women" he'd be in prison.

True, just like you can't deny that Mr. Olson from the right-whinge lynch mob is himself a serial Marrier(??). LOL

do we really have to go over all that 1990's stuff again?? The reason bill got in trouble was lying in a sexual harr, lawsuit.
