Human Rights Commission To Join Forces with Fascist Islamic Movement
HT: Hyscience
Knowing that The Canadian Human Rights Commission exists to enforce liberal political correctness, The Canadian Islamic Congress has approached the commission with the hopes of censoring bestselling author, Mark Steyn.
Why censor Mark Steyn?….The Canadian Islamic Congress states that Steyn’s book, “America Alone“ subjects Canadian Muslims to hatred and contempt."
According to Daniel Pipes, legal hearings and lawsuits are all part of jihad:
The Islamist movement has two wings, one violent and one lawful, which operate apart but often reinforce each other. Their effective coordination was on display in Britain last August, when the Islamist establishment seized on the Heathrow airport plot to destroy planes over the Atlantic Ocean as an opening for it to press the Blair government for changes in policy.
A similar one-two punch stifles the open discussion of Muhammad, the Koran, Islam, and Muslims. Violence causing hundreds of deaths erupted against "The Satanic Verses," the Danish cartoons, and Pope Benedict XVI, creating a climate of fear that adds muscle to lawsuits such as the ISB's. As Mr. Emerson noted when the Muslim Public Affairs Council recently threatened to sue him for supposed false statements, "Legal action has become a mainstay of radical Islamist organizations seeking to intimidate and silence their critics." Such lawsuits, including the ISB's, are often predatory, filed without serious expectations of winning but initiated to bankrupt, distract, intimidate, and demoralize defendants. Such plaintiffs seek less to win than to wear down the researchers and analysts who, even when they win, pay heavily in time and money.
So…if radical jihadists aren’t blowing up people, they’re going to file lawsuits because they feel insulted???
It's enough to make anybody Islamophobic!

Count me as proud to be labeled 'islamophobe'!!
I've had it up to my eyeballs with the moslems and their being so easily offended.
Saudi money, bloodsucking lawyers. Nasty combination.
I would object to being called islamophobic.. i've always thought a phobia was "an unnatural fear of.....".
my dislike and contempt for islam is not at all unnatural.
haven't read the book yet but it's on the Christmas list.
>>I've had it up to my eyeballs with the moslems <<
Including those that go off and fight and die for your country while you sit on your ass fed up to your eyeballs with them.
Patty, Did you see that Michael Savage is suing CAIR!
They're getting a taste of their own medicine for once - ought to be fun to watch how it all pans out.
You're very mean sometimes Noel. Besides, Canadian moslems aren't off fighting for Monica, and I'm sure she fully supports the American moslems that embrace their country and defend it bravely while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
Noel: Because some Muslims serve in the military, and because some Muslms are kind and considerate, islamofascists get a carte blanche to sue at will without outrage? riot, intimidate, murder without a peep?
Do you think the Muslims should be accorded "victim" status and Islamophobia should be a dirty word?
Why? Whites are taken to task for the sins of our forefathers who engaged in slavery...not fair in my eyes...but I don't see us ever accorded "victim" status -- off limits to criticism. ..
And BTW...where are the Moderate Muslims -- those who don't agree with the intimidation tactics? Why don't they stand up and take a stance against the islamofascists?
I'm sick of the left accepting murder, mayhem, intimidation and the silencing of free speech in the name of political correctness.
Daphne! I did! Savage Nation Rules! Go Michael Savage! Bleed their bank accounts!
Patty. I read your link. I haven't come accross this author before. Amazing stats about Japan and Italy. You agree with him that this singling out of the muslims has to do with demographics, low birth rate and an ageing population in Europe while Islam has youth and numbers on its side. All the rest of us are so weak, too well fed by big government so much stripped off our ability of looking after ourselves that all we can do is hide behind our news papers on buses while 'youths' attack and kill people.
Lets look at his example of Japan, a country with no immigration and a declining birth rate. Doesn't his example prove the need for immigration?
Post humanism, old people talking to dolls that can have the conversation of a five year old? Not having grandchildren, not being able to reproduce?
Good God Patty, its not the fault of the muslims that we have decling birth rates, and aging population or any of the rest of it.
The guy reads like he is off the wall. Although I don't agree with censorship. As for the law suits, we all have access to the same laws.
Boy, guarantee that the Europeans have never heard anything like Michael
Savage. He'd never be permitted to speak over the air.
Here are stations that stream his show
Not a Bush toadie like Rush/Hannity, this guy is something else altogether. His "borders language and culture" message has a lot of adherants, including a surprising number of Muslim listeners who respect his honesty.
Phantom - You like the Savage nation too? Seems to be quite a few closet fans of his on ATW.
He's over the top, he's a maniac but he has the moments of the greatest brilliance.
Here are a couple of samples of his work
Patty,
>>Because some Muslims serve in the military, and because some Muslms are kind and considerate, islamofascists get a carte blanche to sue at will <<
From whom?
>>Do you think the Muslims should be accorded "victim" status>>
No, but you seem to think they should be accorded "perpetrator" status>>
My opinion is that nobody is evil until he has done something bad. Unlike Monica who seems to think Muslims are evil per se, and is proud of her prejudice.
Daphne,
>>Monica, and I'm sure she fully supports the American moslems that embrace their country and defend it bravely while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.<<
Well, it's a pity she didn't say so then. What she said was that she doesn't like Muslims - as you say in the States - PERIOD. Yet you let her off with that inhuman prejudice, and then I'm the "mean" one just for calling her on it!!
You know as well as I do that Monica hates first and asks questions later. She may be in good company here on that, but I'm not going to let her get away with it.
Europe couldn't take Michael Savage. The Euro men would melt in their Italian shoes!
Noel - It wasn't your calling her on it, it was how you did it.
Plus, you seem to feel it necessary for everyone to caveat every last broad opinion that they give on any topic. I think if she had said except for A,B, & C - you still would have clobbered her.
You find those types of general statements about any people/religion/culture to be uninformed, simplistic and not nuanced enough for discussion or, even worse, racist and bigoted. Many people aren't as detail oriented as you are Noel or as careful with their written words. They may also assume that people who 'know' them will be able to infer their true meaning without turning it into something ugly.
>>They may also assume that people who 'know' them will be able to infer their true meaning without turning it into something ugly.<<
Daphne, I honestly don't think remarks like that are meant any less seriously than I interpret them. In fact, the whole point of many of them seems to be precisely to boast about the aggression and hatred the person feels, as if it required some kind of courage to do hate from behind a keyboard. There is seriousness and aggression behind them. Just imagine if some Northerner said with the same venom and scorn and seriousness that he hated Texans and was proud of it. Would you react any less severely than I did? No way would you!
But perhaps I was over the top in how I reacted, and as I don't want to stand accused of "clobbering" a lady, I now take it back.
You're very elegant & intelligent in your written word Noel, so I assume that's how you are in person.
I never mind when you call a spade a spade or ask/demand clarification or get angry, but picking on girls isn't your usual style. I guess I was surprised or I wouldn't have mentioned it.
Hey! What's this picking on girls nonsense?
There are none here but red blooded women, women, I tell ya! Some of 'em's armed and all of 'em's dangerous. On the other hand, Noel retracting his comment was kinda girly.
BTW, I'm home slow-cooking kielbasa and sauerkraut for my wife and her friend Claire. I'll be serving it with peirogies and beer. Oh yeah, and I just mopped the floor.
Hello Noel and Daphne
let me stick my oar in (so to speak)
Firstly I am sure Monica does not by any stretch of the imagination fits into the catagory of those who need protection form those who 'pick on girls' if you know what I mean. Monica is a big beast in this jungle and can give as should as she gets.
Noel is right in articulating the view that Monica has, in which she considers there to be no moderatle Muslims and all of them are trouble. She is wrong on that and it is perfeclty valid to pick her up on that. Having said that, as to those Muslim activists who seek legal censorship of their critics, I completely agree they should be given no success whatsoever in their endeavours. I sincerely hope they never ever succees in censoring anyone who offends them , no matter how vehemently.
Alan - can I yank on that ring in your nose? :-)
*dinner sounds good by the way!
I didn't say he wasn't valid Colm.
Daphne
Alan's ring isn't on his nose :)
'Europe couldn't take Michael Savage The Euro men would melt in their Italian shoes!'
Yawn.
Yeah. Which is why Europe has politicians like Jean Marie Le Pen. Noone impedes Mr Le Pens free speech and ranting - or the rest. Honestly it's like Americans grew up chanting 'my dads bigger than your dad' at school and transfered that mentality to the internet with the advent of blogs.
Alison
I have to agree with you there re; the view that we in Europe can't take the degree of Free speech that Americans can. I guess Charles is just being tongue in cheek mischievous or if he really believes what he says, just ignorant.
Have ya'll listened to Michael Savage? He makes me feel uncomfortable and shocked sometimes. The man is over the top - plus he screams. You can just see him turning purple. :-D
I listen to him a couple of times a month when I'm in the right mood - on a daily basis he's way too much.
I think many Americans believe you guys are too sensitive & PC - they obviously don't visit ATW or the other UK blogs. Most of ya'll could mop the floor with them wordwise.
Daphne
Don't forget Political correctness is an American import, nurtured in your academic institutions but alas embraced by influential bodies over here.
The media on both sides of the atlantic are full of stories of PC censorship , but thankfully the oridinary populace over here and over there, can still mock such sensitivities when they become farcical. We haven't been brainwashed yet.
I'll own the PC evil Colm , shameful though it is..... I like that we regular folks have places we can meet, like ATW, to dispel the media's ideas of who we are and what we think.
Thanks for the kind words, Daphne.
Maybe we should set up a clobbering index. One rises in the index as one clobbers those at a lower level in the index. Everyone is, however, entitled to clobber anyone at a higher level than he/she.
Thus we'd all be entitled to clobber Troll and Frank O Dwyer for starters, as the'd be right at the top. Colm , being at the other end, would probably also be able to clobber everyone with impunity.
Re. the Atlantic divide. Obviously many Americans have a wrong view of Europeans, and any European would have a totally wrong view of Americans from reading ATW, for example. I think it's in the nature of right wingers to claim to speak on behalf of their country or people - portraying themselves as the REAL America or the REAL Britain, etc. and to discount any liberal or left opinion as something less genuine or less native.
I come in contact with quite a few Americans in my job and, although often quite conservative, they were much more PC about, for example, gender or race than almost all Euroopeans I know. They are also the most courteous and generally best mannered people you can encounter.
Noel: Your 12:04 re: clobbering had me rolling on the floor laughing . Don't care what your political views are -- you rock.
Yes, it's true... Americans love Americans...we are unabashedly in love with ourselves....which is part of the problem with radical islam...we are so in love with ourselves that we don't really believe that Iran, say, doesn't secretly love us too.
And like big...VERY BIG...puppies we also love Europe, and we want to lick Europeans -- who puzzle us when they behave in a standoffish way and don't love us back...
The puppy metaphor might be a little weak..
How are the big golden puppies doing Patty? Much on your mind? LOL! That analogy was too funny, but weirdly apt!
Noel, I like your clobbering index idea - you run it though, sounds like too much matrix work for me.
You know I love ya darlin' - you're one of my favorite people on ATW. I feel truly lucky some days that I get to talk to your brilliant self and experience your point of view, you give me new things to think about as well as a different window on the world - with humor. I would call you an ATW added value bonus with a big red beautiful bow!
Daphne: Just reread my comment about puppies -- ackkkk-- that's why preview
and delete was invented - too bad my actual puppies are underfoot and too distracting for that...oh well.
The Phantom: What HTML did you use to make your hot links?
Noel: Just out of curiosity, where am I in the Clobbering Matrix? David? Alison? Daphne?
Patty - clobber all of us at will - we're tough, we can take it. I think you would be in the middle of the matrix, but you've maxed out on points with Mahons.
Go All Zena on everybody Mrs. California. :-)
What can I say? I'm a 'racist' kinda girl I guess. Or gal, I should say.
Oh, I found some interesting debate on moslems in the American military here.
Some American Muslims in the military have said they are uncomfortable having to fight against Muslims in Afghanistan or Iraq. In June 2004, Sgt. 1st Class Abdullah Webster was jailed for refusing to deploy to Iraq; he had previously served with the military in Kosovo, where the enemy had been Serbian, not Muslim. Air Force Chaplain Captain Hamza Al-Mubarak testified on Sgt. Webster’s behalf that it would be better for Sgt. Webster to die than to take up arms against Muslims in Iraq.
Or - how about:
Army Sgt. Hasan Akbar was sentenced to death in April 2005 for killing fellow soldiers while their unit awaited deployment from Kuwait into Iraq in 2003. Sgt. Akbar admitted killing two fellow soldiers and injuring fourteen because he believed that American soldiers would kill Muslims...
Or how about this lovely comment?:

Praise be to Allaah.
If you are sent to wage war against the Muslims, then it is not permissible for you to take part at all. Helping the kaafirs against the Muslims is a form of major kufr which puts one beyond the pale of Islam. Allaah says concerning one who supports the mushrikeen (interpretation of the meaning):
“And if any amongst you takes them (as Awliyaa’, i.e., friends), then surely, he is one of them”[al-Maa’idah 5:51]
So just don't give me any of your namby-pamby Colm-like crap, Noel.
I guess Charles is just being tongue in cheek mischievous or if he really believes what he says, just ignorant.
Tongue in cheek Colm. Sorry I didn't put the little winky winky at the end.!
And it's true patty that Americans love Americans. In fact, I love myself about 3 times a week. ;)
Don't forget Political correctness is an American import, nurtured in your academic institutions but alas embraced by influential bodies over here.

So who nurtured it (PC) in American academic institutions? It wouldn't have been marxist refugees from Europe who showed their thanks to the US by contriving a vicious political doctrine of which the purpose was to destroy the society of the country which offered them refuge from nazism - or was it?
Or possibly young American educators who traveled to Europe and brought back some interesting ideas?
Or amazing as it may seem, Americans developing a particular social/political movement all by themselves, without needing European help.
Charles - sounds like you're neglecting yourself man! :-)
Daphne
I'm sure Charles will take matters in hand and resolve himself at least 5 times a week :)
Party for one!
Daphne
I'm sure he wouldn't mind a gatecrasher or two ;)
He's got a wife - I'm sure she could supply the party favors. :-)
Someone's got to hold the coats :)
Only if you take the pictures. :-)
You want me to get my impressive autoextending zoom lens out do you ?
I'm starting to get a very weird visual here Colm - we should stop now before this gets hairy.
You mean before Troll gets in the picture?
