THE PRICE OF REWARDING TERRORISM

You do not defeat terrorism by rewarding terrorists, regardless of how many bleeding heart liberals argue otherwise. Want to know where that flawed approach leads to? Read UNIONISM DECAYED 1997-2007 - It's my first book and it explains what happens when you seeek to appease terrorists and call it peace. It's available right now for ATW readers so make sure you get your copy by emailing the editor! This is the book that dissents from the herd mentality that doing wrong can lead to being right. It doesn't and this book spells out WHY.

JUST AN ALL AMERICAN SOLDIER...

Have you seen this? It's all American soldier Major Hasan yesterday some seven hours before the shooting.

According to AP

Soldiers who witnessed the shooting rampage at Fort Hood that left 13 people dead reported that the gunman shouted "Allahu Akbar!" before opening fire, the base commander said Friday.

As some of you know, I work at the Fort Hood Army Hospital. Since I'm posting, I must be OK! I was about a quarter mile from the shooting, and the hospital quickly became a battlefield triage center. While I can't really relate what I saw and heard on a public forum such as this, let me relate one thing.

I was very impressed with the professionalism of the army under fire. The entire hospital staff quickly fell into it's command structure, led by those who had been on the front. I can't say enough about the soilders that I have the honour to work with and care for. Very honoured and humbled indeed.

>>It's all American soldier Major Hasan yesterday<<

So bloody what?
Here’s an all-British soldier yesterday. There are countless Arabs, Muslims and God knows what fighting in the British and American armies, i.e. doing more to defend you than you could ever do yourself sitting there on your arse.

Charles,

So glad to hear you are well, I was worried.

Let your injured colleagues know people around the world are praying for them - even in this small corner of the blogosphere.

Noel: what's your point? that all muslims aren't terrorists? I think that's obvious.

But it's also obvious that terrorism is coming from radical islamists, and to be blind to this is foolish.

Yesterday the politically correct commentariat of ATW for some reason took offense at any allusion to this obvious fact.

This however is the 2nd case of fratricide committed by an officer. Both happened to be you know what. And this just wasn't soldier on soldier violence. The good major targeted soldiers going to the front. He did a month's Taliban work in a few seconds, and spred terror throughout the largest military bas in the world.
He may have been crazy, but not insane. He knew what he was doing.

Now does this mean all Muslim soldiers are like this. Of course not. But the percentages are building that they are doing more harm than good. Just sayin'.

Thanks David. Yes, I'll relate that to the soldiers I speak to today.

I really can't believe I'm here! But here I am, and have to carry through with the mission. How did the front lines come to Texas?

Charles, good to hear from you. I hope no one you know was among those killed.

It's stunning that one of ATW's valued commentariat is at the heart of this. God but it is a small world and we can all show how we can care about each other.

Thank you Ross. The names of the dead and wounded haven't been released so I don't know. The only person I may have known was a sar-major who was deploying that I helped with meds. Come to think of it, there was a First-sar also.

Stunning indeed David, valued I hope! It really is a small world, and with the Lord's help, the evil doers can be fought back into the darkness. And fight on we must.

Charles

I wish you well in your valuable work at this dreadful time.

Ta Henry. In that vein, it's time for me to sign off and get to work. Getting on post today is gonna be slow, and I thought of going in early either to make myself useful or get in some chapel time. I frequently send the Lord knee mails! ;)

>>Noel: what's your point? that all muslims aren't terrorists? I think that's obvious.<<

Patty, my point was that how a soldier dresses when off duty is his own business; and that any soldier who dresses in traditional Arab, Gurkha or even Californian dress in his own time is still no less a soldier than one who dresses like this.

If you don't agree, tell me why. If you do, ask David what his point was.

>>This however is the 2nd case of fratricide committed by an officer. Both happened to be you know what<<

That's not true, Charles. I recall hearing of several such cases in the US army, and they weren't all "you know what", unless by that you mean US soliders.

Nice to see you safe and sound, by the way.

Charles - first things first, glad to hear you are well, it slipped my mind you are there.

Preliminary investigation appears to indicate that this was a criminal act (like Virginia Tech etc) although we can see the obvious terrorist symbolism. However, it does not appear to be a planned terrorist cell attack and if the facts continue to fall in place we have a nutcase acting alone.

Charles, wow. What a terrible experience. Glad to hear you are safe and sound.

What a terrible crime to commit and especially on fellow soldiers.

"Noel: what's your point?"

No, the question to ask is, David, whats your point?

and the hospital quickly became a battlefield triage center.

They had some stuff on the news about this Charles, apparently it was a scene reminiscent of the battle field, with soldiers tearing their clothing to use as bandages, one guy described it as surreal....

Glad you're ok.

Hasan is a mass murderer, an Islamic jihadist and a coward.

So glad to see Charles comments here today after reading on the other thread about him working at this base. It's chilling to hear of a major outrage like this and to be made aware that one of our regulars here is so close to it.
