THE PRICE OF REWARDING TERRORISM

You do not defeat terrorism by rewarding terrorists, regardless of how many bleeding heart liberals argue otherwise. Want to know where that flawed approach leads to? Read UNIONISM DECAYED 1997-2007 - It's my first book and it explains what happens when you seeek to appease terrorists and call it peace. It's available right now for ATW readers so make sure you get your copy by emailing the editor! This is the book that dissents from the herd mentality that doing wrong can lead to being right. It doesn't and this book spells out WHY.

Can America Trust the BBC?

"I do remember... the corridors of Broadcasting House were strewn with empty champagne bottles. I'll always remember that", Jane Garvey, BBC Five Live, May 10th, 2007, recalling May 2nd, 1997.

LAMB TO THE SLAUGHTER...

The madness continues.

British officials are increasing pressure on the Afghan government to talk to Taliban leaders as part of a major attempt at reconciliation, it emerged today. The move is strongly backed by the Foreign Office – notably Sherard Cowper-Coles, the government's special representative for Afghanistanand Pakistan – by MI6, and by Lieutenant General Graeme Lamb, former head of the SAS and Britain's senior military officer in Kabul, the Guardian understands.

As a general rule, whatever the Foreign Office suggests, it is best to do the opposite. The F.O. is all about appeasement and this patronising notion that Afghan can be stabilised by "reaching out" to the less savage warlords that constitute the Taliban fits into that freakish narrative.

Problem is, it can't work.

There is NO point of compromise with the Taliban and the very act of talking to them simply encourages them. It seems to me that continued British interference in Afghanistan is increasingly unhelpful. Maybe we should clear out ALL the ever so smart Diplomats and leave it to our Armed Forces. They can help by killing the Taliban.
