This is what happens when reason and religious faith are abandoned; we are left with "feelings."
It reminds me a little of 1969, the Summer of Love in San Francisco; a wonderful party - a true love revolution - populated by innocent suburban kids for about 2 months. Then, wolves and vultures, con men and crimnals, smelled blood. They descended on the scene, and the party was over.
This blind devotion will end badly. (and I'm not talking about the win/lose of the election.)
