MOMOFUKU

It's always a moment of great pleasure for me when I get to buy a brand new all original Elvis Costello CD and so it is that I am currently relishing "Momofuku" - his latest recording - dedicated to the late Momofuku Ando - inventer of the cup noodle. Why? Because that's the approach taken to the recording of this CD! It's a brilliant work in my not entirely unbiased view - with "American Gangster Time" being a stand out with that sound of old. As you know, I love word play with attitude and this has loads. It's over thirty years since I became a Costello fan and in 2008 I find still find genius in his work. Still the King....
