The "Dancing Slags" trial has ended with the conviction of five terrorists, who have been jailed for life. Been about 5 or 6 years since i was one of those 'dancing slags' at that particular club but still.. (shudder). Good job by the British security services. No time to comment properly but Harry's Place are reporting that the judge had this to say:

"You have betrayed this country that has given you every opportunity," said Sir Michael Astill, QC, the judge at the Old Bailey. "All of you may never be released: it is not a foregone conclusion."

and point out that a number of the plotters came from largely non-religious backgrounds, but were inducted into jihadism after coming into contact with Al Muhajiroun and other similar Islamist groups. The BBC notes that a key prosecution witness was former terrorist turned supergrass American Mohammed Babar. And how since February 2004, British counter-terrorism officers began round-the-clock surveillance of the key suspects, including recording bugged conversations. The complete operation demonstrates what's involved. It included:

• 24,000 hours of video
• 3,000 hours of audio
• 33,000 man hours of surveillance
• 80 computers examined after arrest

To the left, you see Pope Benedict XVI, current pontiff of the Catholic Church (aka: Church of Rome, Anti-Christ, Fish-eaters, and various other nasty and small-minded little slurs). As few of you are likely to know, he wants to reintroduce access to the latin mass to RC (Roman Catholic) churches on a larger scale. Access which shrank dramatically after the bishops conference known as Vatican II. As part of this planned revival, a particular prayer for the Jews would be re-introduced to services, praying that they to whom Christ came first would see the light of salvation. But apparently praying for someone's salvation is hate speech, so the BBC is Not Happy.

Courtesy of Little Green Footballs, I find that on last Friday, a group of moslems "demonstrated outside  the Paddington Green police station on Friday, but British media completely ignored the event". Possibly because they were masked and carrying messages not peaceful enough to fit the standard MSM stories about the 'Religion of Peace' (see here for examples of peacefulness of 'Religion of Peace') and thus not worthy of our knowing. Perhaps. There's really no fathoming the workings of the fevered minds responsible for the MSM, I suppose.

Following commentators' comments asking for a more female voice on ATW, perhaps in the hope that a more effeminate voice would moderate our rabidly pro-right, pro-Christian (mostly) view. So we thought about it, and decided that introducing another female blogger would be a good idea. With this in mind, Dee of Righteous Indignation is joining us here at ATW, hopefully to post her first post later today.

Though, being as she's an Aussie blogger, her 'later today' and ours might be a little different. Still, I'm sure the contributions, when they come, will be sufficiently cage-rattling to keep the readership interested, so please do make her welcome as a new member of our ATW crusade/heresy gang.

Here's ANOTHER story coming from wise man Jim Baker's favourite"stabilising force" in the Middle East, Iran.

Iranian police have warned barbers not to give men western hair styles or to use make up on them. The move is part of a fierce crackdown on what is known locally as un-Islamic clothing, that this year is also targeting men. Hair stylists have been warned that they could lose their licenses if they do not comply. Police say that as well as avoiding western hairstyles and make up, barbers should not pluck customers' eyebrows. I guess a short back and sides is out of the question! 

Well now, IRA/Sinn Fein Godfather Gerry Adams reckons his mutant Party will be in government both north and south of the border by the end of May. His comments follow news that a general election will be held in the Republic of Ireland on 24 May

Funny how time moves on - it only seems like yesterday since ATW switched platforms and moved here onto Squarespace. In fact it was on the 1st November 2006 and we're about to clock up 6 months here on this new site. I've also just clocked up my 1000th post in that time period. Hope you've enjoyed reading them, (or at least some of them!) and of course all those other posts from my fellow writers here on the site.  ATW moves into it's second six months on the new site with an ever-growing readership, more writers to entertain and challenge you, and above all a desire to put the world to RIGHT!

Today is the Global Day for Darfur  with events taking place in 35 capitals to mark the fourth anniversary of the conflict. Protests included a rally in Downing Street in London, as well as a march on Rome's Coliseum and a demonstration in the German capital Berlin. Some 200,000 people have died since the conflict began, according to the UN. Celebrities backing the campaign, such as George Clooney and Mick Jagger, have signed a statement accusing the international community of apathy.

Let's be clear about a few points. What is happening in Darfur is Jihad-sponsored genocide. The "International Community", meaning the UN and its cheer-leaders in the liberal elite, are WELL AWARE of what has been going on for years now , and they are also well aware that each time the US has sought to have it defined as GENOCIDE these immoral whores in the UN have shown their characteristic cowardice and refused to accept this Why? Because accepting the Jihad-led Arab racist genocide might mean doing something and that is where the UN shows its utter ineptitude. It is useless and apart from pretty words, it can do nothing. Remember Rwanda?  

Also many of those who are out demonstrating today - turning round some 10,000 hourglasses filled with fake blood to highlight the continuing violence in Darfur  -will be the same people that demonstrate against US led war on terror. Well, what is happening in Darfur is part of the Al Queda strategy so why do leftists oppose the genocide in Darfur and oppose US efforts to defeat Al Queda?

So, I was reading The Sunday Times prognostications concerning the likely performance of NuLabour in the local elections coming up next week. It seems that Labour are going to get a good drubbing, and you might think that is welcome news ...but not necessarily.

I had just completed polishing my previous posting when a news item regarding the sad loss of the crew of the R.A.F. Nimrod surveillance jet in Afghanistan came over the airwaves.

Seems as if the remains of the crew had not been identified correctly, and parts of one airman's body were placed inside the casket of another; which is bad enough, especially for the relatives, but the kicker came from a Ministry of Defence spokesman, who said, "It was regrettable, but it's been sorted!"

Sometimes, but only sometimes, the messenger is the one who should have been shot! 

There are not too many articles appearing in the ToryGraph which tend to delight my own mind, but this is one of them!

Before those who instinctively leap towards the defence of those poor, defenceless freedom-fighters and their like in every strife-torn corner of this globe thunder (metaphorically) to their rescue, all I would ever say is simply that it's about bloody time we, as a nation with a leading role in the operations in Afghanistan, adopted the same type of thinking, operations and esprit-de-corps.

But of course we won't! Why not? It is true that there are a few isolated senior British service personnel who would indeed like to order our Army and Air Force to do what the Apache pilots did, and on a larger scale too, but they cannot even contemplate it. They cannot because we don't have the right aircraft or helicopters, we don't have the right weaponry, and last but definitely not least, our military people's ethics are bound up in a squirrelly, be-nice-to-everyone set of Rules of Engagement which insist on the presentation of calling cards before even loading the rifles which don't work anyway!

 Good on the Yanks, and God Bless America!
