Population Replacement in Birmingham, and Britain

In the Telegraph, I read that a team of demographers at Manchester University has predicted that whites will be a minority group in Birmingham by the year 2027. According to the university's Dr Ludi Simpson, the growth of the "minority" population will be driven by the doubling in size of the Pakistani population.

So, not just population replacement, but the first steps towards Islamification as well. Isn't Mark Steyn supposed to be a paranoid racist for predicting demographic change of this nature?

Interestingly, Dr Simpson is scathingly dismissive of the common liberal notion that, in such Balkanised cities as Birmingham, the numerous different ethnic groups now living within Molotov cocktail-throwing distance of one another will just join hands and sing "Kumbaya". Rather, he acknowledges that the suburbs of such cities are "sites of real tension". And, it should be noted that this tension does not just arise between whites and non-whites; it also arises between different non-white groups, with the most notorious recent example being the clashes between Pakistanis and blacks in the Lozells area of Birmingham, two years ago.

ATW LATE NIGHT JUKEBOX

Here's a more jolly tune to end the evening - and it's aimed in a Texan direction!

IS THE BBC RACIST?

The BBC is racist! Or so says award-winning writer Jimmy McGovern who has accused it of being "one of the most racist institutions in England" during an interview on BBC Five Live. McGovern said while there were "lots of black faces in the BBC", they were working in the canteen. What rubbish. The BBC goes out of its way to employ ethnic minorities at every level. Given the frequency with which we see various shades of coloured folk presenting our TV programmes, I think McGovern could not be more wrong. There is only one group that the BBC ignores -  white anglo-saxon heterosexual males who love their country. McGovern is a died in the wool unreconstructed Marxist.

ATW FRIDAY JUKEBOX PART TWO

Here's a brilliant song with a very strong lyric. It's a live version, and the images are a bit ropey BUT it will be worth your while concentrating on the words, I'm sure you can figure what it's all about. Frank O'Dwyer may explain why he thinks it's like one of the Muppet tunes by Kermit but I think it's a powerful evocative set of lyrical images that stop you in your tracks and Frank's otherwise good taste in musical matters is compromised because of the subject matter.  I have printed the words underneath the video for your consideration just in case they don't come across on the video.

Did they tear it out, with talons of steel
And give you a shot, so that you wouldn't feel
And wash it away, as if it wasn't real

It's just a mistake, I won't have to face
Don't give it a name, don't give it a place
Don't give it a chance, it's lucky in a way

It must have felt strange, to find me inside you
I hadn't intended to stay
If you want to keep it right, put it to sleep at night
Squeeze it until it could say

You can't be too strong
You can't be too strong
You can't be too strong
You can't be too strong
You decide what's wrong

Well I ain't gonna cry, I'm gonna rejoice
And shout myself dry, and go see the boys
They'll laugh when I say, I left it overseas

Yeah babe I know that it gets dark, down by Luna Park
But everybody else, is squeezing out a spark
That happened in the heat, somewhere in the dark, in the dark

The doctor gets nervous, completing the service
He's all rubber gloves and no head
He fumbles the light switch, it's just another minor hitch
Wishes to God he was dead

You can't be too strong You decide what's wrong
Can't be too hard, too tough, too rough, too right, too wrong
And you, can't be too strong

Baby you can't be too strong...

MUHAMMAD - THE GUANTANAMO YEARS

jesusguantanamo.jpgI see that "Jesus the Guantanamo Years" - the ludicrous anti-US anti-Christian play is opening in Belfast shortly. DUP Councillor Christopher Stalford, formerly of this parish, was helping expose the silliness of this inane play on the BBC earlier this evening, and more power to his elbow! The left-wing ideologues behind this play like to pretend that Jesus Christ "could" qualify for internment in Gitmo under current US rules of engagement. Not so.

1. Christ was not a Jihadist, nor did he spend his time on battle-fields. I know left-wingers think that everyone in Guantanamo is innocent and only the US is guilty but surely the Prince of Peace is the wrong selection even by their stadards?

2. Judaeo-Christian values inform the US constitution from which the President derives his power. Either the playwright does not understand this or does not like it.

3. If you want to write a play about a religious teacher from the Middle East who would well qualify for Gitmo, try Mohammad. After all, those currently in Gitmo all swear allegiance to him. There's a clue for you.

WELCOME NEWS FROM GAZA...

I know that I am a vehement critic of Palestinians but on this occassion I want to express my support for those who have been taking part in protests in Gaza against the territory's Hamas rulers - despite a ban on public gatherings. Prayers were organised which turned into marches through main towns. Some people were injured in clashes. Protesters accuse the Islamist Hamas of violating civil liberties and using mosques to spread political propaganda. The BBC's Aleem Maqbool in Gaza says this is the biggest show of opposition to Hamas since it took control in June. Let us be clear; Hamas is evil incarnate and a display of opposition to Hamas from ordinary Palestinians is good news. Unlike many on the international left who want to appease the savages in Hamas, some residents in Gaza seek to oppose them. Well done.

IRELAND NOT GAY FRIENDLY ENOUGH!

Wonder what is made of Irish President Mary Quite Contrary's claim that gay people encounter a hurtful undercurrent of bias and hostility in the Republic?

“Ireland is making considerable progress in developing a culture of genuine equality, recognition and acceptance of gay men and women,” she said. “But there is still an undercurrent of both bias and hostility which young gay people must find deeply hurtful and inhibiting.

Oh get over yourself Mary. I'm sure the Irish or no different to us British in that the overwhelming number leave the gay community to do whatever it wants to do - so long as it doesn't frighten the horses. I'm fed up with the gay agenda being rammed down my throat (Maybe re-phrase that?) and all Robinson is doing is showing her own uber-liberal tendencies. Gay or straight - isn't it our humanity that we share and can't we do that without acting the perpetual victim?

FOOTSTEPS ON THE CEILING!

I laughed at the news that IRA/Sinn Fein was last night at a loss to explain how a party member ended up in hospital after falling from the roof of a Newcastle Orange hall in the middle of the night! The PSNI confirmed last night that they had responded to reports of "suspicious activity" at the hall on Shimna Road shortly before 2.45am on Saturday.

"It is believed that a male had fallen from the building," said a police spokeswoman. "A 17-year-old youth was taken to hospital by ambulance." The Orange Order said a Union Flag was torn down from the roof and it is understood police will interview the injured party at a later stage. IRA/Sinn Fein confirmed the injured person was a member of its youth wing. "He is a member of Ogra Sinn Fein, but to my knowledge he has not been charged with anything," said a spokesman."It is alleged that youths did take down a flag but I am not sure whether it is true or not. It is not the type of thing we would be condoning, we oppose attacks on Orange halls."

So, a Sinn Fein youth member is climbing around on top of the roof of an Orange Hall at 2.45am but naturally his intent was peaceful. Maybe he was just conducting a health and safety check that went wrong? Or maybe this is the true face of Irish republicanism, pious words, poisonous acts?

Meanwhile, Seagoe Orange Hall went up in flames as someone decide to spread a little more republican happiness abroad

ON NO - IT'S SWEDEN VS THE PROPHET AGAIN!

muh-hund-aiklit.jpgWould you believe it? Sweden's embassy in Pakistan has expressed "regret" over the publication of a cartoon depicting the Prophet Muhammad in a Swedish newspaper. Pakistan had complained about the cartoon, which depicted the head of the Prophet on the body of a dog. Sweden's government said it regretted any hurt but could not apologise as it was not responsible for the drawing and could not prevent its publication. The new drawing depicting the Prophet's head on the body of a dog was published in the Swedish newspaper Nerikes Allehanda on Sunday. The cartoon's creator, Lars Vilks, told the Associated Press news agency the drawing was art. "I'm not against Islam. Everybody knows that," he is quoted as saying. (on his way to his studio somewhere in Outer Mongolia, I'm reckoning)

I don't understand why the artist decided to graft the head of Mohammad onto a dog but I can see that this could be taken as offensive, and not just to dog-owners! ut unless we are going to censor everything - something which I am sure Pakistan would probably approve of - then I'm afraid Muslims are going to have to learn a little tolerance.

MR BROON AND THE ENVIRONMENTAL GENOCIDE!

janjaweed_killers_on_the_hoof.gifIf you want a laugh, read this statement by UK PM Gordon Broon and French President Sarkozy concerning the ..ahem, shall we call it GENOCIDE in Darfur? Yes, lets. Well according to the dynamic duo, the reasons why the Arabs have been hacking their opponents to death in Darfur are economic, environmental and political.

You don't say?

"Neither Britain nor France, nor the people of Sudan, can achieve a successful outcome alone. We need cooperation from all parties and engagement from the international community. We welcome the visit to Sudan in the coming days by Ban Ki Moon, Secretary-General of the UN. There will be a AU/UN meeting in New York on September 21 to sustain international initiatives to address the crisis. And France will chair a Security Council meeting four days later at the level of heads of states and governments to rally world leaders to deliver on commitments to peace in Darfur and beyond."

Rampant internationalism using soft power, and relying on the truly ludicrous African Union will ensure many more deaths as the genocide continues apace and unhindered. This is about appearing Brown and Sarkozy appearing to be concerned, and actually doing nothing. Brown seems to think that every problem in Africa can be causes by throwing economic aid at it. Well this is profoundly wrong and many more innocents will be hacked to death by the Janjaweed whilst politicians preen their moral consciences for us all to see.

CAMERON'S EXIT STRATEGY

Did you read that David Cameron is facing a landslide defeat with Labour winning a majority of around 100 seats in the House of Commons if Gordon Brown calls a snap general election? So says the Daily Cameron, with the latest poll showing that Gordon Brown has opened a 24-point advantage over the Tory leader when voters are asked who would make the best Prime Minister! Doesn't surprise me - the media only ever wanted Cameron to move left-of-centre before turning on him and showing its true loyalty to Labour values. The truth is that the UK MSM will never support any Conservative leader who is right of liberal. Cameron accepted that and cravenly and opportunistically turned left, but he now faces electoral obliteration and all those little sycophants that surround him and lack even a scintilla of conservative principle will vanish like snow of the ditch when the blood-letting after the next election starts. The Conservative Party has become dysfunctional and is incapable of doing what is right for this country. We need a political revolution to win our country back and the death of the Conservatives might just start that.

NO ROOM FOR THE SICK?

I was reading that more than 30 patients have been turned away from Northern Ireland's cancer centre without receiving treatment. The City Hospital in Belfast has admitted that 34 patients awaiting chemotherapy had missed out on treatment since the start of April. It said this was because there was a shortage of overnight beds available for them. This is not good enough and is a tremendous indictment on NHS resource management. Cancer does not wait for beds to become available for treatment and I feel very sorry for those patients let down in this manner. My own father was too ill for any form of cancer treatment towards the end but the advance of the disease can be rapid and it must be a huge stress for the families involved to be told that the ward is full up.

THE TROUBLE WITH FANNY ARDENT

I see that French actress Fanny Ardant is being sued by the son of a former Italian policeman killed by the extremist Red Brigades group in the 1970s. The actress sparked a controversy when she told an Italian magazine she considered the jailed founder of the Red Brigades her "hero". She has since apologised for causing offence but the policeman's son, Piero Mazzola, has said that is not enough. In Italy it is illegal to praise someone who has committed a crime. In Northern Ireland it is almost obligatory to praise terrorists who have committed crimes so all I can say is that Ms Ardent would be well received here, if not in Italy.

SAY CHEESE AND YOU'RE NICKED!

I wonder if ATW's discerning and all-knowing readership (ahem) can help answer this question by Lindsay Beyerstein, freelance journalist. Basically she witnessed police arresting some women who were fighting at Liverpool Street Rail Station in London. She tried to take a photograph of this and was told that if she did she would be arrested. Her question is.."What are the laws in England regarding journalists photographing police operations in public places? Are there specific rules about taking photographs in the transit system?"

WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION TURN UP - AT UN!!

un_nyc.jpgDid you see this one? Several vials of potentially dangerous chemicals have been found..... at a United Nations building in New York! The material, said to include phosgene, is said to have been removed from Iraq during inspections of chemical facilities a decade ago. The UN said the vials had been found by inspectors as they cleared out an office near the UN's headquarters. The material "could be potentially hazardous", a UN spokeswoman said, but did not pose any immediate risk.

Oh. I'm not so sure. The UN is toxic enough, can't see how any chemicals could pose a threat to it! But I just love the idea that these "potentially dangerous" chemicals have just been "lying about" for ten years and no one thought to dispose of them! Good old UN - you KNOW you can place your trust in it!

THE CASE FOR THE DEATH PENALTY

noose.jpgLadies and Gentlemen of the ATW jury, let me make the case for the death penalty.

A paedophile who filmed his attack on an 11-year-old girl has been jailed for life for a total of 89 offences. Anthony Barron, 54, of Wantage, was convicted earlier on charges of rape and attempted rape. Oxford Crown Court heard the computer engineer also admitted 87 charges of sexual offences relating to at least 10 girls between 1995 and 2006. The jury heard Barron, who was given a minimum tariff of 18 years, filmed some attacks as "souvenirs". Some of Barron's victims were as young as three.

Got that - victims as young as three?

The 87 charges he admitted included 27 indecent assaults, 11 sexual assaults and three attempted rapes. When police raided his home after one of the children, aged five, told her mother that Barron had exposed himself to her, they found a stash of toys suitable for children from the age of two.

Got that - the age of two?

Judge Hall added that he had not demonstrated "a hint of sympathy" for his victims who he treated "as if they were toys". Barron abused 11 children, including two four-year-old twins, over a period of nine years.

Now then, here we have a monster that preys on kids, some as young as three years old. He shows no remorse for his evil crimes, but he has been sentenced to life in prison. The average "life" prisoner in the UK spends just over 13 years behind bars. I am not sure if Barron will fall into this category but to my mind that is beside the point. His presence is prison will be a drain on the UK taxpayer, his presence in the community a perpetual threat to young kids. The kindest sentence for this sort of man would be the Death penalty.

Do you agree?

WHAT GOD HAS JOINED TOGETHER....

Did you read that although the divorce rate in England and Wales has fallen to its lowest level for 22 years, the number of marriages in England and Wales is at a record low? Disturbingly, the number of second marriages ending in divorce is also increasing. Back in 1960, there were 330,000 first marriages in England and Wwales. By 2000, that had fallen to 130,000 first marriages. Marriage is hitting the rocks in the UK, and I wonder is it coincidental that as this institution has fallen from favour, society becomes more dysfunctional?

DANCING FOR THE SECOND HOLOCAUST

I saw this alarming item over at Newsbusters. It concerns an Arabic newspaper editor pronouncing his plans to dance in London's Trafalgar Square should Iran ever use a nuclear weapon on Israel. Abd Al-Bari Atwan, editor-in-chief of the UK-based Arabic daily Al-Quds Al-Arabi, told a Lebanese TV interviewer he will dance in delight in Trafalgar Square should Iran nuke Israel. Bari Atwan is also a contributor to the BBC and Sky News. Why have his services not been instantly dispensed with following this OUTRAGEOUS comment? Why allow this Jihad-crazy Nazi to provide opinion to the BBC and Sky?

The Winds of No Change

Go green!  It's the new fashion of the liberal Left.  Talk incessantly of climate change; force through punitive fiscal measures in pursuit of mitigating that ill-defined concept; and let propaganda do the rest.  One of the steps being taken by the Government here in the United Kingdom is the rape of our countryside with ugly wind farms.  When not sighted in areas of beauty, they will be plonked by the hundred-load within clear sight of various tracts of our coastline.  And for what?  A tortoise's fart can generate more electricity than these monstrosities.

In the apparent rush to demonstrate their 'green' credentials, government-sponsored planners have erected wind turbines in areas that don't have enough wind!  That's good planning, eh?  Make these turbines in factories that spew out carbon emissions; transport them to the desired location on trucks that spew out carbon emissions; erect them with machinery with not immodest carbon footprints; and what have you got?  Eyesores that don't even work properly when seen against the background of their mission statements!

Michael Jefferson, a guru in the some environmentally lunatic organisation that few have ever heard of, said: 'We should be putting our money where the wind is and that is quite often not where the development pressure is.'  Wrong, Mr Jefferson.  We should be putting our money into nuclear alternatives like the French do.  France has 76% of its electricity supplied by nuclear energy emanating from 56 nuclear reactors around the country.  British nuclear energy, by contrast, has 24 reactors supplying only 19% of its electricity.  And, whilst the French effort grows apace, our use of nuclear will actually decline between now and 2020.  It seems the French are not only light years ahead of us when it comes to transport infrastructure, they maintain a healthy lead in energy policy, also.
