THE PRICE OF REWARDING TERRORISM

You do not defeat terrorism by rewarding terrorists, regardless of how many bleeding heart liberals argue otherwise. Want to know where that flawed approach leads to? Read UNIONISM DECAYED 1997-2007 - It's my first book and it explains what happens when you seeek to appease terrorists and call it peace. It's available right now for ATW readers so make sure you get your copy by emailing the editor! This is the book that dissents from the herd mentality that doing wrong can lead to being right. It doesn't and this book spells out WHY.

NO PROPHET WITHOUT DISHONOUR...

Should be interesting to read how those peace-loving followers of the Religion of Peace get to hear about the fact that the Prophet Mohammad never actually existed. Or so says a leading Muslim scholar.

Muhammad Sven Kalisch, a Muslim convert and Germany's first professor of Islamic theology, fasts during the Muslim holy month, doesn't like to shake hands with Muslim women and has  spent years studying Islamic scripture. Islam, he says, guides his  life.  So it came as something of a surprise when Prof. Kalisch announced the fruit of his theological research. His conclusion: The Prophet Muhammad probably never existed.

Wonder if Mr Kalisch has good life insurance?

The Prophet marginalized? I suppose there is at least enough historical support for Mohammed as there is for Jesus. Not the easiest thing to determine strict evidence of figures in premodern times. I would agree that this scholar's existence may be at some risk given the tendancy of the Muslim World to react with unkindness to such remarks.

Given that scholars who say similar things, such as Christoph Luxemburg, have to work under pseudonyms for their own safety, I'd say this guy better get into hiding pretty quick.

Whether you belive in their deified status or not, I think it is pretty obvious that both Jesus and Mohamed existed as real historical characters.

Bernard - I completely believe 100% in the historical Jesus (and I'd no intent to start a historical debate about his existence). I'm just noting that there isn't a whole lot of historical evidence to point to for most folks in the premodern period.

Dear me.. He is now just an historical figure. "Oh ye of little faith".

Bernard - Jesus Wept. Rather than recite the Apostle's Creed for you I was writing about him as a historical figure, not of my belief in his divinity.
