NORTHERN IRELAND POLICE ARE NUMBER ONE!

Great news - the Police Service of Northern Ireland are officially the number one in the UK. This is one in the eye for trenchant critics of the PSNI such as yours truly who considers them worse than useless.

So in what area of activity you may ask, have they topped the UK league of Policing? Catching criminals? No. Stopping terrorists? No. It's much more important than that - I can reveal the PSNI have been spending more of their financial resources on PUBLIC RELATIONS than any other policing area. Hurrah - taxes well spent I am sure you must agree!

I must say I've noticed the PSNI out and about much more this past fortnight...nothing to do with the better weather of course.
