Papal sandwich anyone?

KFC20Logo20High20Quality.jpgPrince Charles might be attacking the fast food industry but the Pope has been asked to bless a sandwich.

Vatican officials have confirmed that KFC have asked for the Pope’s blessing on their new “Fish Snacker Sandwich” which, Kentucky believe, will be “ especially popular on Fridays”.

Being a good Protestant, I think I’ll pass thanks :)

If he does bless it I may convert to Protestantism.

KFC has never been subtle but this one takes the cake.

The Pope should agree but only on condition that Colonel Saunders endorses Vatican 2.

Next thing they'll want their burger bread to be used as Communion.

Do you think the Pope has seen this video?

Wow.
I suppose its better than KFC having a UFF British terrorist mural on one of their walls like they did in Antrim one time.

Fortunately New York city and state officials said they would pull $65 million in pension fund stock out of the KFC parent company if it didn't go.

Hey Presto!

Alan: The Taco Bell video seems like a plague out of the Old Testament.

MR,

"Pathetic comment of the month." February or March?

BTW, I was going to let this pass, but here's the story that Garfield was referring to:

Alan - I Know that story all too well - it was Pathetic and sectarian whataboutery from Garfie on a thread that Mahons and Cunningham were treating as intended - a funny.

"Pathetic and sectarian whataboutery"

Now, THAT's a keeper, as we say in Brooklyn!

Come on Alan - admit it - the thread was light hearted and non-controversial until Garfield threw some local poison into it to sh*t-stir.

Someone on ATW inserting NI issues into non-NI topics before? I am shocked, shocked!

Say the Pope does bless it, is it going to be written on every KFC menu, "Fish Snacker Sandwich-as blessed by The Holy Father"?

Given their crassness going as far as they already have done, I wouldn't put it past them.

So am I. Amazed that someone else managed it before 'Val Doonican' :)

Mahons

let me explain the cultural reference. Do you remember the thread where I was describing how I imagined regulars on ATW. I said I viewed Mad as an ageing Val Doonican (and Mr Doonican is over 80!). Val Doonican is a genial old Irish crooner, always pictured in a rocking chair with big Aaran sweaters on. I guess the nearest American equivalent would be Perry Como.

Mad

LOL at your mischevous attempt to mislead Mahons about our Val, and what on earth has Alison got to do with any of this ?

Colm: I googled Val in the meantime. Very funny. No wonder he tried to throw me off track.
