Pissing on the Constitution

I was born in Philadelphia a few blocks from where the Constitution was written, and signed. Since I was born here I am an American citizen with rights granted by God and certified by that document. I am no better or less than any other American, be they born here, or achieve legal citizenship.
It does however make me by birth a better man than one born in any foreign land.
Every rule of our society is about to be discarded and made a mockery of by the Marxists and Maoists that are running our Nation.
To put KSM and his fellow conspirators into an American Criminal court is a direct violation of everything that this nation was founded on.
They are illegal combatants captured on the battlefield, and should therefore have been shot long ago.
Instead Obama violates the sacred basis of our laws. If tried in criminal court they must be set free.
The case should be dismissed by the Judge the first day, and the admitted plotter of 9/11 should walk away a freeman.
No Miranda Rights, admitted to being tortured by the President himself, and repeated Jury Tampering by both Holder and Obama by repeatedly saying he is guilty and will get the death penalty. In other words by our Criminal Laws they walk.
If any other path takes place the U.S. is in a state of Anarchy.
The Principals of Law and Order apply to ALL that enter our system a system designed to allow 1000 guilty to go free before the conviction of one innocent. The procedures to achieve this baseline of our system are being cast aside in this case.
That is a larger crime than what these men are accused. In other words the Obama administration is acting under the power of dictatorial tyranny. Making his own laws as he sees fit.
I want to thank the President for placing me in hell. I must wish for the freedom of my enemy, or admit the loss of my country.
While I am here I think I will bargin my soul to the beast for him to add a tenth ring of hell just for the day after Obama's judgement before God.

In reality, KSM was captured by Pakistani authorities and then transfered to the Americans. He was on no battlefield and wasn't captured during a battle. He was captured in his sleep and handed over. He is either an illegal or a combatant, not both. A Terrorist or a Soldier, not both. If he is an illegal Terrorist then he should be tried in civilian courts, if he is a combatant Soldier then he should be tried in a Military Court. Which is he Troll?

Sorry, Troll, but in my opinion, the mere fact that you happen to live in a country which has a particularly noble and libertarian constitution written on a parchment of paper several hundred years ago, does not automatically make you or your fellow Americans "better" than the citizens of another country. I understand and commend your fierce patriotism, but I fear that those words will not travel well across the ocean! None of us got to choose where we were born, and we all have to do the best we can in life, from the hand of cards that has been dealt to us.

The story behind this picture is great. We have a blogger friend (Skye) who belongs to society here in Philly that meets with local forign Dignataries that are here in Philly but were or are still someone of importance in their little section of the world.

A lot you seem to have also missed the fact that if it is set up as a civilian court all 5 deserve to walk.
now some good citzen could always shoot them as they leave the court, but any court of criminal law MUSTrelease them.

When you deal with terrorists who " fight " civilians like this, while often steering a wide berth around military and police, you could make the case that every inch of the planet is a battlefield.
If the battlefield is where they fight, legally or illegally, then an apartment block in Pakistan close to the Afghan border is the battlefield alright.
The law and treaty law has not properly contemplated this type of war. This is not traditional war among uniformed armies, and it's not criminal offense at is normally understood either.
The likes of Obama and Holder will never understand the nature of this and what must be done to address it. There is a dangerous vacuum at the top.
I'm not sure that Obama understands the nature of leadership or the nature of terrorism. Don't think for a minute that the very patient terrorist enemy does not understand this.

And that is the problem, no? You either suspend the rule of law for the entire planet (for what? is this really SUCH an unprecedented threat), or you trust that it is up to the task.
(And before you respond with the party line, it is instructive to note that civilian courts have thus far got a *better* record in that they have convicted more terrists than the gitmo method - fewer terrorists have walked from civilian trials - which if anything suggests that the defendants rights have not exactly been paramount thus far)
I also want to tip the hat to Troll because reading his post, I can see what he is getting at. I don't agree with it, but I understand where he is coming from on this and I genuinely respect him for posting this.
