THE PRICE OF REWARDING TERRORISM

You do not defeat terrorism by rewarding terrorists, regardless of how many bleeding heart liberals argue otherwise. Want to know where that flawed approach leads to? Read UNIONISM DECAYED 1997-2007 - It's my first book and it explains what happens when you seeek to appease terrorists and call it peace. It's available right now for ATW readers so make sure you get your copy by emailing the editor! This is the book that dissents from the herd mentality that doing wrong can lead to being right. It doesn't and this book spells out WHY.

Can America Trust the BBC?

"I do remember... the corridors of Broadcasting House were strewn with empty champagne bottles. I'll always remember that", Jane Garvey, BBC Five Live, May 10th, 2007, recalling May 2nd, 1997.

PLEASE STAY AWAY....

raf1.jpgThe complete lack of dignity demonstrated by some of the 15 British kidnapped sailors, such as soaraway "Sun stunna" Faye Turney in the past week has brought shame on the Senior Service. Listening to outraged comments from the MANY brave men and women in our Armed Forces, I was struck by the chasm that exists between their selfless and patriotic views and those held by the metropolitan elite such as Minister of Defence Des Browne. And now comes the news that the families of four British soldiers killed in Iraq have requested that the Defence Secretary stays away from a ceremony on the return of the bodies to Britain.

What REALLY sickens me is that Prime Minister Blair has INSISTED that everyone involved in the decision had acted "completely in good faith and honourably" - but with hindsight they had got it wrong.  During a visit to Wales, the Minister of Defence : "Look, I didn't actually know about the decision until after it was taken. With hindsight was it a good idea? No. Do I believe it will happen again? No."

Does that sound to you like a Government which feels a sense of shame, even a certain humility,  as to the foolish decisions it has made? Or does it sound like the irritated mewling of a corrupt administration which despises the very values the men and women in uniform represent?

Sobering pictures indeed, and stand in stark contrast to last week's spectacle.

David:

I don't know how you feel, but having to call these dreadful government gonk politicians by their 'nick' name, ie. Des, and Tony, only serves to make one feel the more sicker by conferring a sort of familiarity with them.
How about, Desmund Browne, better known by media hacks as 'Des'(?)

"The Traitor Browne" has a nice ring to it.

My condolences and thanks to the families of the fallen.

I do not understand understand how a Defence Minister can be held in such contempt by the armed forces, and still stay in his job.

He should resign immediately, and go back to the vocation he trained for and is only fit for. A Human Rights lawyer.

Browne should have carried the can for the abduction of the 15 'hostages' in the first place, That was the modst disgraceful part of this entire shameful episode.

The PM's petition on the censureship of the MoD, and Des Browne, seems to have disappeared from the petition website.

Now is that a coincidence - or what?
