PROTESTING THE PROTEST
Thursday, May 29, 2008 at 09:47AM Just about to go on to BBC Radio Ulster's NOLAN show to discuss the planned protest against US President George Bush's forthcoming visit to Northern Ireland.
The usual anti-war moonbat left will be doing their usual street performance protest art for the cameras but I wonder why? After all, Bush is coming here to put his seal of approval on the Assembly, a political forum which institutionalises terrorism - so what's the problem? The Bush administration is also actively encouraging the pumping of a lot of investment into Northern Ireland so again, what's the problem? Finally, people in Iraq can now do the same as people in Belfast and protest against that which they do not like - thanks to the Bush liberation of that land from Saddam. Back in his day a street protest would have ended up in your being murdered, so again, what's the problem?
I'll tell you what the problem is - there is an anti-American hard left rabble here in Northern Ireland which reflexively kicks against a US President that stands up for freedom and liberty. I don't think they even see just how juvenile they look with their little anti-war placards and their student grant mindset.
THAT is the truth behind this farcical protest and I'm protesting it.

I assume they bumped your part of the show due to the insane ranting of Iris Robinson!
I hope you heard that bit. Imagine that setting herself up as the moral compass, the beacon of hope for the community.
I cant wait to see her expenses list, see how she answers the awkward questions about morality then.
keep the arrows flying David
Will you physically do a counter-protest? That would be great!!
