UNIONISM DECAYED 1997-2007 - It's my first book and it is an all out indictment of those who appease terrorists and call it peace. It's available right now for ATW readers so make sure you get your copy by emailing the editor! This is the book that dissents from the herd mentality that doing wrong can lead to right. It doesn't and this book spells out WHY.
THE RULES OF ENGAGEMENT
We'd really like to have you comment on our site! We want good conversation, no abuse and no trolls.I reserve the right to ban anybody who wilfully and persistently breaks these rules. So go ahead and speak your mind!
Sir Walter Scott was onto something when he wrote.."Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practise to deceive" all those centuries ago. The purpose of this site is to expose some of the deceits that constitute contemporary political debate, to provide a principled conservative voice of dissent and to make life.... that little less tangled!
It's reported that there have been several attacks on fire-crews around Northern Ireland last night. On each occasion stone-throwing gangs pelted the firefighters with stones. Now then, I know I have covered this before but I feel justified in re-visiting it since it typifies both the rise of feral youth and the fall of the rule of law and common behaviour. These thugs that delight in attacking our emergency services (They also enjoy attacking ambulance crews and police btw) should be swooped up and put behind bars. There should be zero tolerance of their unlawful activities. But this does not happen. Instead the police focus their resources on persecuting motorists who drive 1 mph over the speed limit. Meanwhile the thugs themselves deserve public humiliation and their parents deserve to be excoriated for failing to instill at least some standards into their off-spring. What sort of a society have we where a minority of youths think it fun to stone fire-fighters? Time to extinguish their hooliganism by severe punishment!
Rioters who engage in this deserve being shot on site. Firemen in NYC faced the same type of added danger in the 1970s wild New York days in certain neighborhoods.
my my my Mahons how ununderstanding of you, these poor children are the victims of society and we need to understand why they act this way.
Then we can shoot them and prosicute their parents for manslaughter if anyone died because the firfighters/ambulance/police were unable to save sombody because they had to deal with such scum.
A simple solution would be to equip each fire engine with a camera capable of filming the scum throwing the stones. That way they could be identified later and prosecuted.
Of course this won't happen because it would infringe the attackers' "human rights".
I don't know all these neighborhoods. Is this taking place in both "nationalist" and "unionist" areas?
Do the "nationalist" politicians speak out forcefully on this issue?
If there is ever a black/white issue it is this one. Punishment should be swift, sure, and harsh. And you'd think that all parties and politicians would sign onto that tomorrow morning.
It's happening in both areas - no monopoly on thuggery here! I do not hear enough criticism of it from the political class but then again, they are too busy filling in their expenses claims.
No, wait.... The crews have helmets, firehoses, axes and more. That's why we call them (fire)fighters. Isn't the solution rather simple when put that way?
No thread about the Rangers fans rioting in Mancherster following their 2-0 defeat by the classy Zenit St Petersburg team.
When Celtic played in the UEFA cup final in 2003 the exemplary conduct of the thousands of travelling Celtic supporters received widespread praise from the people of Seville (not one single supporter was arrested) and the fans were awarded prestigious Fair Play Awards from both FIFA and UEFA "for their extraordinarily loyal and sporting behaviour".

You mean if firemen get them in their sights they should open fire at the site of the fire?
Why not a spot of remote waterboarding with their hoses?

Phantom,

How cowardly, thugs attacking unarmed fire-crews!

Has Scotland changed that much in five years?
