TARGETS WITHOUT REASON...
Having politicians set out the priorities for the Health Service is JUST such a bad idea.
Last year, UK PM Gordon Brown announced that EVERY hospital in England would have a complete "Deep-clean" by the end of March. Over the past six months we have had endless assurances that this would happen. Well, it hasn't. Not only that but the actual process that the hospitals have been forced into implementing has been disruptive to patient care as it had to take place during the winter period, the busiest of the year! Insufficient funds were also made available, although in the NHS all funds are insufficient. Naturally we all expect our hospitals should be spotlessly clean but having politicians impose draconian deadlines and timings against such a worthy aim is folly.

I think that NuLab could mismanage a brothel during a gold-rush.
