THE PRICE OF REWARDING TERRORISM

You do not defeat terrorism by rewarding terrorists, regardless of how many bleeding heart liberals argue otherwise. Want to know where that flawed approach leads to? Read UNIONISM DECAYED 1997-2007 - It's my first book and it explains what happens when you seeek to appease terrorists and call it peace. It's available right now for ATW readers so make sure you get your copy by emailing the editor! This is the book that dissents from the herd mentality that doing wrong can lead to being right. It doesn't and this book spells out WHY.

THE ADVANCE OF SHARIA IN THE UK...

I was saddened but not in the least surprised to read that "the principles of sharia law could play a role in some parts of the legal system", accordig to the Lord Chief Justice. Lord Phillips, the most senior judge in England and Wales, said there was no reason sharia law's principles could not be used in mediation. The Archbishop of Canterbury prompted controversy when he said use of certain aspects of the law "seems unavoidable".  In a speech at the East London Muslim Centre in Whitechapel,  (Where else?) Lord Phillips said that sharia suffered from "widespread misunderstanding".

There you have it - unreconstructed DHIMMITUDE in the highest legal position in the land. Lord Phillips appears to fail to recognise that Sharia is an all or nothing system. Islam will settle for its gradual introduction, of course, but to think that one can have a little Sharia is a bit like thinking one can be a little pregnant. This sends a signal to the Islamic world - and the signal reads "we submit". Pathetic stuff.

I saw that article and posted a link to it on your book review post. The judiciary in both our nations are fools determined to destroy our cultures

Must be related to Rowan Williams!

I laugh at comments like "there was no reason sharia law's principles could not be used in mediation." The question is, who sets that "medium", and how do we ensure it stays that way? Let me remind you that Islamic law sanctions:

- Stoning of homosexuals and adulterers
- Killing apostates
- Amputating thieves
- Banning wine, pork, music and art on pain of punishment
- Outlawing all criticism of Islam (which is almost happening now anyway...)
- Women treated like chattel
- Non-Muslims oppressed and treated like second-class citizens, or dhimmis.

Among other things!

So if we install a little bit of sharia here and there, how do we know some Muslims won't start pressuring for more, and more still? After all, in a poll a few years ago 40% of British Muslims said they wanted FULL sharia law implemented in Britain.

All in all, a suicidal call.

It seems that the appeasement of radical islam is leading to the eventual surrender to sharia law. As night follows day, surrender follows appeasement.

Appeasement is not a compromise. With a compromise, the 2 warring parties reach an agreement with their eyes wide open.

Appeasement is fake compromise, the appeasor (eyes firmly shut) - through laziness, fear, stupidity etc. - THINKS a compromise is reached but since the compromise relies on the goodwill of his adversary(which doesn't exist & is only wishful thinking), the only thing accomplished is eventual surrender.

Thankfully more people heard what was said by the speaker on the radio this morning than will ever be near this ignorant, hatred inducing blog.

Sharia principles solving family and financial disputes are eminently more fair than some of the vicissitudes of our current legal system.

The Bible does prescribe certain punishments, none of which are followed by most Christians in respect of sheelfish, but are vigorously supported (ie death penalty) by the born agains.

Hopefully theyll get to see Jesus and obtain his opinion - sooner rather than later.

Hysterical nonsense. Nothing has changed, nothing has advanced. It's always been legal to have contracts under any jurisdiction you want. Contracts contrary to the law of the land remain unenforceable, and crimes remain crimes. As a glance at the link will confirm.

Who was it said "A crime is a crime"?

So it shall remain.

Nice list Ben. Care to make one up listing what the bible allows, condones and stipulates for its followers? No? didn't think so.
