THE PRICE OF REWARDING TERRORISM

You do not defeat terrorism by rewarding terrorists, regardless of how many bleeding heart liberals argue otherwise. Want to know where that flawed approach leads to? Read UNIONISM DECAYED 1997-2007 - It's my first book and it explains what happens when you seeek to appease terrorists and call it peace. It's available right now for ATW readers so make sure you get your copy by emailing the editor! This is the book that dissents from the herd mentality that doing wrong can lead to being right. It doesn't and this book spells out WHY.

Can America Trust the BBC?

THE GREAT AIRPORT FARCE...

We all know that this lousy Government pays lip-service to our national security and nowhere is this more evident than in the news that thousands of foreigners are being allowed to work in high security parts of Britain's airports without passing proper criminal record checks. Despite warnings that terrorists would try to recruit people working "airside" in terminals – with direct access to aircraft and baggage – no attempt has been made to check whether foreign workers have committed any offences abroad. The vetting process checks only for crimes committed in Britain. Foreign workers – arriving from inside or outside the European Union – are not checked in their country of origin. What this means is that a foreign person with a firearms or explosives conviction can work in the most sensitive parts of British airports. So, no reason for a fear of flying...the government is control.

Is anyone surprised? You shouldn't be.

There's a very simple solution and Gordon Brown stated it recently: British jobs for British workers. Well, some sensitive British jobs ought to be reserved only for British workers.

"But Pete" some would say, "this is discriminatory."

Yes it is. Problem?

Parliament itself endorses discriminatory practices. No citizens of EU countries apart from Ireland may stand as an MP, and damned right too.

David,

This is worrying. As a (too-)frequent flier I need to place my trust in the ground-staff on the understanding that they've screened out the bad chaps before I board a machine.

I certainly don't go along with Pete's suggestion but surely the solution is proper criminal record checks. I can't believe that this is any more arduous than consulting an online database.
