THE PRICE OF REWARDING TERRORISM

You do not defeat terrorism by rewarding terrorists, regardless of how many bleeding heart liberals argue otherwise. Want to know where that flawed approach leads to? Read UNIONISM DECAYED 1997-2007 - It's my first book and it explains what happens when you seeek to appease terrorists and call it peace. It's available right now for ATW readers so make sure you get your copy by emailing the editor! This is the book that dissents from the herd mentality that doing wrong can lead to being right. It doesn't and this book spells out WHY.

Can America Trust the BBC?

"I do remember... the corridors of Broadcasting House were strewn with empty champagne bottles. I'll always remember that", Jane Garvey, BBC Five Live, May 10th, 2007, recalling May 2nd, 1997.

THE UNREALITY OF THE STATE...

I see that the head of the Audit Commission, Steve Bundred, reckons that workers, including those in the NHS and education, would "tolerate" a pay freeze as they had "done well" over the last 10 years.

And in an outspoken tirade, he accused Labour and the Tories of hiding the true scale of required cuts and dismissed politicians' promises to protect health and education spending. Writing in The Observer, Mr Bundred said: "At a time when inflation is likely to be between 2% and 3%, a pain-free way of cutting public spending would be to freeze public sector pay or at least impose severe pay restraint. "This is especially true if real wages in the private sector are still falling."

Sorry but this is not good enough.

WHY should the State Sector employees be immunised from economic REALITY? There is nothing that is anymore special about those for the State and so the idea that that they may escape REAL wage CUTS is dangerously delusional. In fact it is the State sector that should be most cut back since it consumes wealth but does not create it. However all our political parties are too scared to take the axe to the bloated state sector and would rather push the burden onto those who actually have already taken real cuts and pay more taxes and enjoy less favourable pension provision.
