Until last week, Carol M. Browner, President-elect Barack Obama's pick as global warming czar, was listed as one of 14 leaders of a socialist group's Commission for a Sustainable World Society, which calls for "global governance" and says rich countries must shrink their economies to address climate change.
By Thursday, Mrs. Browner's name and biography had been removed from Socialist International's Web page, though a photo of her speaking June 30 to the group's congress in Greece was still available.What a coincidence! Socialist International, an umbrella group for many of the world's social democratic political parties such as Britain's Labor Party, says it supports socialism and is harshly critical of U.S. policies. The group's Commission for a Sustainable World Society, the organization's action arm on climate change, says the developed world must reduce consumption and commit to binding and punitive limits on greenhouse gas emissions.
With such impeccable credentials, is it any wonder that The One sees Carol as an ideal candidate to advance his socialist agenda? But it would be good if Obama, Ms Browner and the media were able to be honest about these things. After all, what have the got to hide?

Not just the US Pete. She and her, presumably, fellow Fabians have always worked towards 'global government', or a 'New World Order' as fellow Fabian Gordon Brown calls it.

Guba, the Fabians have always been quite open about their plans for world government. It's not as if they've tried to hide it. You should do some research instead of bleating about scientology. Who mentioned Jews?

Well then she's a socialist who lobbied on behalf of Dubai. She strikes me as one of those professional bureaucrats, I wish he'd pick someone with more scientific credentials and out of the Washington, D.C. gene pool.

Erm, I know you are a bit new to this site Guba old thing, but I think you'll find its our Leftist AGW devotees who are, on average, far more likely to believe in the idea of a 'global jewocracy', though of course they call it the 'Israel Lobby' or some rather more anodyne title. You know, so we don't confuse them with the Nazis who do.

IIRC Obama has also appointed John Holdren and Steve Chu to some key positions. Between them they have more credentials than you can shake a stick at. Chu is a Nobel prize winning physicist.
