TOO MALE, TOO WHITE!

Pity poor "Blunkett Bobby"! Gaze on him and weep.
Police chiefs have been accused by one of their own officers of creating a community mascot that is too male and white.
Community Support Officer Steve is a uniform costume complete with over-sized police hat, radio, shoes and even a name badge. The character is based on a real officer in Sutton, Surrey, and is a regular visitor to primary schools and public events in the capital. But he has come under fire from one Metropolitan Police sergeant who said he fails to represent the communities he serves. The officer said the figure, which is white with blue eyes and blond hair, risks leaving Asian and women officers "isolated".
So, I wonder which character should replace the hideously white male Blunkett Bobby! How about Metro Mohammad?

Wouldnt it be nice, just once, to hear how one of these whinging PC pillocks was told to just fuck away off when he went to make his complaint.
This is crazy, the shop in Altnagelvin hospital were told to remove the gollies they were selling because they were offensive. PC crazy world.
How about Michael Jackson, Androgenous and all colours to all men (and women).

The thought that the police force is staffed by such emotional basketcases that they feel 'isolated' if a puppet is a different colour or sex to them is not exactly reassuring!
..and he has straight hair, I feel isolated!
"bollocks"
sorry, that was my first thought.
anyway as far as i understand, we still live in a predominantly white country...don't we?????
Mascots? wtf for? A muppet would have been a more appropriate one.
