unfair to alley cats?

As (apparently) the whole of Dewsbury erupts with spontaneous joy and booze at the news of the release of the abducted nine-year-old Shannon, and of course with a hijab-wearing 'Community' spokeswoman stating that it was this same amorphous 'Community' "wot done it" (presumably the release of this little girl), I am obliged to take a wider view of the morals of this 'Extended' family, who seem to breed like rabbits but without the territorial integrity of the afore-mentioned rabbits.

Along with the 'partners' of this particular woman, who together have provided her with seven children from (at the last count) six different fathers, we view another story with a more tragic end; that of Fiona MacKeown, the mother of murdered teenager Scarlett Keeling, who died after being drugged with cocaine and ecstasy, raped and brutally beaten. This 'mother', who casually left her daughter in the care of a bar acquaintance to travel many miles to view some other part of India, along with her other seven children (from six different fathers) seemed to think that being called in for questioning about alleged neglect was outrageous! The extended family's trip to Goa, known worldwide for being 'Druggy Paradise', was of course funded by British taxpayers, as all the fares were paid from Fiona's savings from Child Support and other Welfare Benefits. I wish I could afford a flight to India, but there again, if I could, I'd probably go to County Down.

The only difference between these two stories of adults who breed like alley cats, and treat their kids with the same standards, and the  equally horrific news of the dissappearance of tiny Madeleine McCann is that the McCanns' were married professional medical people, both extremely well-educated and media-savvy! Let us not forget that the McCanns chose to leave all three of their tiny children unguarded in a bedroom while they 'dined with friends' some hundred yards away!

Writing as a Grandfather in actuality as well as in waiting, I would demur from crticising the payments to the parents of any tiny defenceless child, but I really do feel that a close look at our 'anything goes' society is definitely overdue. We often read reports of the bounding breeding statistics of the Muslim population, but they are presumably nurturing a hidden army which will sweep us all away in some future Islamic cataclysm; at least they are sticking to the teachings of their own particular 'faith'

I think it is very good news that a child has been found alive, it is such a pleasant change from the usual outcome. I hope the trauma of this episode in her life will not scar her too deeply.

A deep felt hatred and a curse on all who would hurt any child in such a perverted way, for their own gratification, and an equal curse on any that condone, or make apologies for those that indulge in such practices, whether they be Bishops, Judges, social workers, or even the Great Khazi himself!

Mike,

1. The average alley cat can have four litters a year, so sixteen offspring at best. Mrs McKeown hardly competes.

2. Children have been abducted and murdered since Methusaleh was a lad. It's hardly a hallmark of our "anything goes" society.

Whatever the circumstances of a child's birth or the background they are brought up in, they are not the ones who chose either, and as for Shannon, it's just great news that for once a fairly lengthy dissapearance has not ended with the words "A body has been found..

The icing on the cake now would be for the same ending to the Madeleine story.

Oh. Don't even get me started about that. So irresponsible. :-/

Mike Cunningham.

You sound just like the over-arching BBC presenter Sarah Montague on radio 4 who took a similar line with Mrs Matthews when interviewing her two weeks ago.

Montague quickly drew attention to Mrs Matthews seven children by six different fathers. "five actually" (Mrs Matthews, unquote).

Like you, Mizz Montague must have found this lumpen working-class woman distasteful and reprehensible.
But what was it that Montague objected to?
Was it the multiple partners, or the fact that Mrs Matthews hadn't been on the pill, or should have used abortion to limit the numbers?

I ask this because we all know how careful the middle-classes are about hiding THEIR multiple partners (esp. in the incestuous BBC) and making sure that, ugh, no-one gets pregnant, and, there's always abortion if things go wrong.

Whatever the social rights or wrongs, Mrs Matthews chose life over death; fertility over sterility, and you and the 'elites' just hate these people for daring to increase their numbers above the allotted 2.2.

More white working-class?? Oooh the very idea.

The number of children was never my point, it was the numbers of 'partners' who fathered these kids!

Coming as I do from a Family who, if we had all lived would have numbered nine; and having three well-loved children myself, I have always acknowledged that children are the be-all and end-all of a true Family life! With the emphasis upon a Family, consisting of one father and one mother, holding and staying together in the love with and from their children!

The problem I have with these true alley-denizens is that they breed indiscriminately, without any sense or idea of responsibility, knowing as they do that the 'Welfare' will stump up without cavil or question.

I have never been a fan of abortion, but I have been a long-time fan of self-control! The best form of birth-control, invented about the same time as the contraceptive pill is for the female to take that pill and hold it very firmly between her knees!

Iain Dale has a very good post on this, re people like us. About the differences in media reporting, due to identifying with them as people like us. Interesting read.

Other than that I'm just glad the child was found alive and well.

Bernard,

Some terrifically good comments there. I can tell you're a noble class-warrior :0)

Mike,

Why do you write "family" with a capital F?

Are you a covert Charlie Manson fan?
