WEIGHT WATCHERS....

So Jan Younghusband, the producer of the new movie about IRA terrorist Bobby Sands, has been spouting off at the Cannes Film festival about how "You look at suicide bombers and wonder what it is that drives them to kill themselves in their attempt to make the world better."  Mm, no, you don't wonder that. What you wonder is what sort of evil drives these demented bastards to go out and kill innocent people. Not content with demonstrating her gross stupidity on this point, she added that the Maze prison where Sands and his ilk were imprisoned was "as bad as Guantanamo Bay." I suppose she has overlooked the simple fact that the typical Gitmo inmate has put on a STONE in weight whereas Mr Sands and his fellow terrorist pals all managed to lose rather too much weight!

"Hmmm and you look at film producers and wonder what it is that drives them to whore themselves in their attempt to make their film seem better"

Really David, the stupid bitch will say anything to hype her film and her moronic hero Sands. And with the lack of fodder at Cannes this year the press will pick on it. Best not to give her the additional publicity for her piece of crap film.

""You look at suicide bombers and wonder what it is that drives them to kill themselves in their attempt to make the world better."

It's funny how these idiots never consider the possibility that terrorists are driven on by the prospect of being glorified by muppets like Jan Younghusband.

I believe this film was paid for by Channel 4.

>>whereas Mr Sands and his fellow terrorist pals all managed to lose rather too much weight!<<

I wonder why the inmates in Guantanamo Bay never tried hunger strike, Or did they?

Noel -some did and were force fed. We in the US never learned the propoganda value that Bobby Sands and his fellow hunger strikers demonstrated or we'd stop the nonsense that is Gitmo.

"... the nonsense that is Gitmo."

Who are detained? Where were they caught? What were they doing? What did those released do subsequently?

Allan - all four questions are thoughtful and very valid. Some answered, some not. And we do know some who have been released have been naughty while others have not.

Substitute "Hitler" for "suicide bombers" and you'll be getting close.

It is utterly sickening how these uber-liberals will always seek to excuse mass-murder. They have no moral compass, because they hate the society they live in, and regard Bin Laden as morally superior to George Bush.

Peter,

I'm not being picky about words here but I dislike the term "morally superior" when applied to both those gentlemen. I'd use "self-righteously superior."

And it's a hard call. Bin Laden went to war in the understanding that he was doing the work of the Almighty; Bush in the understanding he was doing the work of the Almighty Dollar. Bush unleashed violence that led to far more deaths than Bin Laden caused. Both are evil men and ethically corrupt.
