WHY WE LOVE ISLAM...

Comments on this would be appreciated...

"Two schoolboys were allegedly disciplined after refusing to kneel down and "pray to Allah" during a religious education lesson. It was claimed that the boys, from a year seven class of 11 and 12-year-olds, were given detention after refusing to take part in a practical demonstration of how Allah is worshipped. "

It's called institutional dhimmitude and ATW will speak out against it, even if others remain mute.  We must never allow ourselves to get on our knees and worship the Moongod. Never.

I am horrified to read this.

Good that you have a few lads with backbone and who know what is right and what is wrong.

But its disgusting to hear that you have teachers like that. You're being destroyed, bit by bit, and the shocking thing is that there are so many who pretend not to see what is happening.

Note to frog: the temperature just went up another tenth of a degree.

This is indeed disgraceful. Of course children have been pushed down on their knees to worship Yahweh for many years, and it's high time that stopped too. Right?

"You're being destroyed, bit by bit,"

Who is the "You" here?
Me? - I seem to be intact.

Who is being destroyed?

Who is doing the "destroying"?

Piles of prejudice.Piles of poo.

Look at the source of this story.

Whose purpose is being served here?

"There is no god but Allah!"

Well, the first three words are correct.

Good on the schoolboys. I wish we had the US system - no religious nonsense in state schools. No sky-gods of whatever provenance.

Frank,

The UK is NOT an Islamic country - yet.

David

But you DO want the US system? Right?

Friday, July 4, 2008 at 09:45PM | Unregistered CommenterJo

David - the parents complained. Big time. That's not dhimmitude. It's excellent. Were not being destroyed. It's one pathetic teacher who overstepped the mark and got totally roasted.

Reminds me of the time my mum complained to my catholic school when one of the nuns told us kiddies categorically we each had a guardian angel who would protect us no matter what, when we were about 6 yrs old. I decided to put that to the test one afternoon outside the sweet shop and stepped in front of a lorry. My mum went apeshit.

I wish we had the French system. No dumb old sexist Islamic headscarves for girls.

Blimey - hello Jo!

Alison,

Fair point. We need more of the bulldog spirit.

That's a fascinating story re the guardian angel. It demonstrates the dangers. Of sweet shops!!!

Every Wednesday we got sweets. It was awesome to use an American expression on America Day.

p.s Sadly the old nun of my story never got any press coverage!

Friday, July 4, 2008 at 09:50PM | Registered CommenterDavid Vance

I do agree re. the French system, btw.

But then I would, wouldnt I? :)

Friday, July 4, 2008 at 09:51PM | Unregistered CommenterJo

Zero relgion in schools.

Friday, July 4, 2008 at 09:51PM | Unregistered CommenterJo

LOL, that's moi, a throwback. Awwwight ta. You? Where is your blog.

Friday, July 4, 2008 at 09:53PM | Registered CommenterAlison

Jo,

The US was founded on the rock of Christianity - remember the motto - ONE NATION UNDER GOD. Not Allah.

Friday, July 4, 2008 at 09:55PM | Registered CommenterDavid Vance

God is Allah is God. Is Obama going to swear in on the Koran btw?

Friday, July 4, 2008 at 09:56PM | Registered CommenterAlison

David,

"The UK is NOT an Islamic country"

Ah OK, so it's not forcing the kids to worship things they don't believe in you object to.

Friday, July 4, 2008 at 09:56PM | Registered CommenterFrank O'Dwyer

Yes, indeed, David, but recall a certain Spencer Tracey movie! And besides, freedom of speech and all: look where it has taken us. Insane people (in my view)picketing US soldier FUNERALS on the basis of the belief that they died for a nation that endorses homosexuality? Is that faith in practice? If so, it needs curtailed. One of them will get shot by a family member.

I mean to say. You wouldnt be seen dead there?

Friday, July 4, 2008 at 10:04PM | Unregistered CommenterJo

Jo, glad you picked up on and that and totally agree with you. Stuck a post up saying that more or less a few months back and citing those groups...didn't go down too well. Religion needs to be kept a grip on. It's caused more wars than anything else. And people are such hypocrites with it they don't deserve respect. Less religiosity.

Friday, July 4, 2008 at 10:11PM | Registered CommenterAlison

Frank.

Tell me which schools force kids on their knees to pray against their will?

Jo,

I condemn the wack jobs you refer to - and did at the time.

Alison,

Religion is not the problem - the evil in men and womens hearts is. Christ did not kill - he was killed. I am unhappy with much that passes for organised religion however - my faith lies in The Bible - not bricks and mortars and trite sermons from liberal preachers. God gave me a brain and the freedom to use it. I do my best to follow his guidance, I fail, but I rise afresh each day aiming to do my best.

Peter sums up the mentality of those who hate something they don't even believe in.

"There is no god but Allah!"

"Well, the first three words are correct".

Peter the first 3 words are "There is no"

as there is no sense even talking to a git like you and frank. When the two of you pull your heads out of your posterior we might be able to have a discussion about a political situation that involves a religion without you two proselytizing atheism.

if you weren't blinded by your hate you might actually see that and be able to discuss the subject instead of being the two cheeks of an ass.

As for the "thing" she is just as bad as its hate for america forces her to bring it into the subject.

What I would like to know is what punishment has the teacher recieved? Was this a sanctioned part of some curiculam? If so what was abject lesson that this excersize was supposed to be delivering to a 12 yr old?

Faith schools.

Friday, July 4, 2008 at 10:32PM | Registered CommenterFrank O'Dwyer

And are children forced to go to these?

Friday, July 4, 2008 at 10:33PM | Registered CommenterDavid Vance

Troll,

"Peter sums up the mentality of those who hate something they don't even believe in."

Like you and Allah, hypocrite?

Or like you and Jesus?

Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Yes.

Friday, July 4, 2008 at 10:36PM | Registered CommenterFrank O'Dwyer

Evidence Frank?

Friday, July 4, 2008 at 10:37PM | Registered CommenterDavid Vance

David, I have first hand experience. So have many others.

Friday, July 4, 2008 at 10:38PM | Registered CommenterFrank O'Dwyer

But David isn't religion man made? I think the Bible has wonderful elements and Christ's teachings important. But half of the nonsense within religion, especially catholicisim is derived from humans, no wonder it is flawed and bad. Half of those who follow religion never ever practise what they preach and excuse their behaviour as 'they're trying' or 'seeking forgiveness'. I don't mean you btw. I don't know you well enough!

Friday, July 4, 2008 at 11:02PM | Unregistered Commenteralison

"God is Allah is God" -- This is the cultural relativism that is eating Western civilization from the inside out.

God (as commonly spoken about in the West) is a Judeo/Christian god and the foundation of Western Civilization.

Allah is the god of Islam and the foundation of Muslims.

Big difference.

Friday, July 4, 2008 at 11:09PM | Registered CommenterPatty

Alison,

Yip - humans spoil it all! I agree with what you say. And as for me - I'm just a man with feet of clay. I claim nothing special or redeeming about myself. Christianity is god given but we all have choice to accept or reject in my view. That's where Islam is different - it DEMANDS submission from all in Dar al Islam.

Frank.

I respect your pov on this.

Ever since Nietzche said the God was dead, the left have been unable to think their way out of this box.

Communism promotes the notion that religion is the "opiate of the masses" so that the masses will fall into line and worship the State.

Friday, July 4, 2008 at 11:13PM | Registered CommenterPatty

I think here is common ground.
Now, back to music.

You see everything in left-right terms.

Many on the right are atheists / agonstics and many on the left are believers in sky-gods.

I know this doesn't fit your world-view, but get over it.

Friday, July 4, 2008 at 11:30PM | Unregistered CommenterPeter

Peter: Are you aware of the war waged against religion by Communism? Are you aware of the Communist roots of the left?

I'm not talking about specific individuals above so much as the paradigms that first create and then maintain certain philosophies and points of view.

I think it is important to understand the roots of ones philosophy so that you are not just the victim of random trends of thought - easily manipulated with no real understanding of the world.

Know your history. Know your political philosophy roots and paradigms that you take for granted and that frame your assumptions, and your debate.

Friday, July 4, 2008 at 11:37PM | Registered CommenterPatty

You tread dangerous ground. The majority of the left have no clue where their philosophy comes from.

Communism waged a war against humanity, not just religion. It divided families and encouraged children to denounce their parents.

The Spanish inquisition and the Salem witch-hunt did the same. So there is no reason to give sky-god religion a bye-ball. It provided the persecutionist / utopian model for the 20th century atheist monsters.

Friday, July 4, 2008 at 11:58PM | Unregistered CommenterPeter

yeah it was all religions fault...LOL

Peter: "So there is no reason to give sky-god religion a bye-ball."

I have no idea what this means.

"Communism waged a war against humanity, not just religion. It divided families and encouraged children to denounce their parents."

Unlike the Spanish inquisition and the Salem Witch trials, communism is still around.

Communism of the past has morphed into statism of the present. Statism is now pushed, nay, loved by the left. And this philosophy is waging a war on religion, family, and traditional institutions. COnstantly targetting children for propoganda purposes. Pay attention.

Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 12:06AM | Registered CommenterPatty

If you want to blame anythein for this state of affairs blame the spread of state schools. They do force children to pray, we've all been there. Religion has no place in schools.

Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 12:06AM | Unregistered CommenterGosh!

Gosh: I agree. The unfortunate meshing of the State and Religion in the UK has done Christianity no favors.

Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 12:12AM | Registered CommenterPatty

Peter (11.58) utopian model? When I see 'utopian' I always think something to strive for or marxism/ideology, I would never equate it with religion.

Grizzly it wasn't All religions fault, but it is part of the problem. If schools were secular institutions this kind of thing would not be going on.

Statism exists in many right-wing countries. Think Russia for starters.

Advertising (the ultra free-market industry) targets children to smoke tobacco and get drunk and dress like prostitutes.

Stop preaching and try debating.

For the uninformed: I went to a mixed primary school until 11. At certain times those of "the other sort" left to go home. Presumably to be educated in their faith. For the rest of us, we were jealous they got out early. lets not forget the perception of those being indoctrinated :)

Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 12:16AM | Unregistered CommenterJo

Unfortunately children are forced to go to faith schools not only by well meaning parents but they have a better educational output than mere state schools. Faith schools are highly sought after for this reason.

Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 12:16AM | Unregistered CommenterGosh!

I think the issue at hand is should a child be compelled to pray to a particular god as part of education and I think the answer should be no. By that I mean it is fine to study other religions, even important to do so as part of learning other cultures. But one shouldn't have to participate in the religious practice - are they going to engage in human sacrifice when the study the Mayans?

Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 12:56AM | Unregistered Commentermahons

I was being sarcastic with Peter blaming everything including the rise of communism in the 20th century on religion

The moongod? who exactly is the moongod? I remember gettin slapped in school for laughing during prayers. Many, many moons ago this was.

Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 01:33AM | Unregistered CommenterRS

This is not a problem with Islam. It is a problem with multiculturalism. The state schools inevitably take on the ethos of the state and in Britain that is multiculturalism.

In my opinion it would be far better for society to have a Christian ethos but that is a minority opinion. What we must do is defend our right to have schools which do not subscribe to the official ideology.

As with all rights we must subject it to the "other foot" test. If the majority were Christian and that was reflected in the ethos of the state would Peter and Frank have the right to send their children to secular or schools. The certainly should because parents are the only people with the right to make such decisions for their own children.
